So I imported a skill plan from a file and was wondering if EVEMon can transfer this skill plan to the character in game? Or do I have to set everything in game myself to mimic what EVEMon shows?

I am unaware of any way to do that. What I can say is that CCP seems to be very happy getting information out of the game and into the hands of 3rd party developers.

Going the other way however is a different story. CCP seems to be very very strict about allowing anything outside of Eve control the game. It's even been reported that macro keys on gaming keyboards and programmable buttons on mice have been hinted might be violations of the EULA.

So I am going to guess along that historical trend that not only is what you ask not possible currently but likely won't be coming in the future either.

Is EVEMon live or do you have to update the API?

I think there is a Dev comment somewhere mentioning importing skill plans into eve from evemon. Dunno the status on that, but it is something on the list it sounded like.

Evemon updates once an hour I think. CCP doesn't like API checks happening too often. You can go into tools/options and change the frequency of some of the updates.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

Now that Iria mentions it CCP did add the ability to copy fits from EFT to your clipboard and then import them into the in game fitting screen from the clipboard. So if they were to do something similar with Evemon it would not be without president.

Also when you understand the history of skill planing and how the skill queue is a relatively new thing to Eve then why Evemon is the way that it is makes more sense

Yes, you can copy the skill plan if it is in the correct format and paste it into the Skill Queue

Hate to be 'that guy', but you do know that EVE is a MMO, and thus we have players from different countries (heads up if you are US based, there ARE other countries other then 'Murica) and that thus there are non-native English speakers.

Hell, I would love to have you type Dutch and I can grammar nazi you on almost every single sentence you will type out.

J'Poll as usual you are right on with this post and I agree with you totally.

However in this case I can't use that excuse. I was born and raised in 'Murica and am a native English speaker. Maybe it was the 5 am waiting for the coffee to brew or maybe it was me being used to every other text based tool that I use auto-correcting me all day and me learning to be lazy or maybe it was dyslexia or maybe I just suck at my native tongue.

When I see something like that I just assume it is an autocorrect or spellcheck error with no helpful red line. I think going grammar nazi on international forums is a bit droll, but sometimes something will come along that is not just an error, but a funny one. I liked the comment about "what about the costumers!" in GD recently. Made me want to derail into a WiS thread, but was too late. Also erg likes to post from her phone, IIRC. Or maybe I'm confusing her with you.

Oh there's a smartponed quote of mine in someone's bio that goes something like
"eve deliberately excludes the stupid and the weak willied".
