Having just posted about a freighter save in the c&p forum, it made me thinking about an escort service in high sec.

I have always wanted a jump freighter myself but never been in the right corp or group, one guy said you don't need more than one account to have one if you have friends, so thinking about setting up an escort service with shield reps Ships 1st.
I know Trust is a thing in eve but some do get it, the chubby guy in amarr (sorry can't find his name if that's wrong) and the freighter people red frog, so I know it has to be earned.

So what do you think to 1) rep ship escort in gank areas 2) emergency jump outs for jump freighters (once the Trust thing is worked out)

Just fishing for ideas and feed back.

Good time escort girls, will rep for kicks...... or gankers tears.?

I always think that they should make any ship with a jumpdrive able to jump to any station unless it has red standing and or an active cynoinhib. You can still gank the normal freighter and you still want to use cynos in combat but for normal jf trips its just to much of an hassle and you should be able to do that on one account and no you cant trust your friends with a 9bil ship + 9bil in cargo to light a cyno for you.

I must be one of the lucky ones, I have friends I can trust, In the past I was in a corp that had corp cap Ships that went OK , not one loss to a scammer, mind you, you had to put the time in to make it, so Trust was earned and yes some people got turned down to fly them, anyway just saying not all people are low life scum bags out to screw you.

I have no idea why you guys are crying. JF:s are one of the "end-game" freight choices, shouldn't be that easy to move stuff with them. Just go in a blockade runner or something if you want an single-player mover. I guess you guys are null-sec dwellers? Just pay someone to move your stuff if you don't want to do it yourself.. Jesus lol

Edit1: And god sakes. If you can't trust your corp mates. Get out of that corp asap.

I don't know if this thread is filled with morons or hypocrites, asking OP to let Corp/ alliance members to light cyno for him!! same of you will tell him never trust anyone in eve if he started a thread complaining that Corp member led him to a trap. These forum warriors have ready statement for every thread in this forums..Jeez.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

No idea what you mean tbh. I have never been a null-sec dweller and have never had these problems. However, should be easy enough to send an eve-mail to highest active officer and ask who I can trust to light cyno. If they can't keep track of that, then what's that corp doing?

So how do these corp/alliance members get stuff to/from high sec?

I am now envisioning a convoy of SMA JF with each individual pilot going and getting their own stuff too and from Jita moving in and out of null at set times each week.

If this is the case, perhaps it explains why they are having problems atm.

Can an SMA member c/d whether everyone moves their own stuff backwards and forwards from null.

Sorry, but what do you want? Safety? Pay for it!
You are wardect? Get some guys from your corp to escort you ship. Wheres the difference between wardect in Highsec and living Nullsec?

A jumpfreighter has it's requirements that normal freighters don't. Nobody is forcing you to use a jumpfreighter. On a large scale this game is about teamplay and a jumpfreighter is almost the definition large scale.

As others have said, no one is forced to have an alt. You can do the same things with friends. And the OP seems to be whining about not being able to solo ferry a capital sized hauling ship across New Eden without having more than one account.

But, to play the Devil's Advocate, the deeper point is true: EVE Online may not force you to use alts but it sure is designed to make alts more useful and more trust-worthy than real life friends and this is probably for business reasons.

Friends may not be online when you need them. Friends might be busy or too far way in-game to help. Friends might be space-traitors leading you into a trap. When I got my 1st alt I was honestly amazed at how much easier the game became, which eventually lead me to my current situation of 4 accounts. I have so much flexibility and freedom in how and where I play the game it's crazy. Cloaky Camp me all you like, I'll just run incursions...

Not saying I mind it at all, I like how EVE allows us to play more than one character at a time (and makes it so easy in so many ways, like drone assign, fleet warping and FoF missiles). So much so that when I play other games and am forced to play "one dude at a time" it feels kind of lacking now lol.

And tbh get scammed for the price you need to pay or your cargo is gone Lol welcome in eve newbie.

j/k off course do not take anything so serious people

My best friend in EVE lives in another timezone. We've never met face-to-face.

I trust him completely. He has direct access to most of my assets.

He made me CEO of his corp, and he once insisted I sit in his Aeon so I could experience what that was like; I was too scared to do more than just spin the camera, and avoid bumping into anything within the safety of the force field.

He gave me PLEX for Christmas, and invited me to play WoW with him and his wife.

Friendship & trust are more valuable than anything else.

Everybody should train Advanced Spaceship Command to V anyway. It's a pride thing.

Real EVE players sell their children, buy PLEX then convert said PLEX into skill injectors.
JF pilot in like a minute and a half.

Noooooobody actually trains anymore! It's the new EVE!!
It's probably taking older players time...to adjust....

Friendship and trust are indeed important.

He can clean you out if he wants to, and is never more than a few clicks away. It's a nice story, but because of the way EVE is designed, disaster is always that few seconds away.

My questions is this, Why are you "Forced" to having multi accounts? Why do you think the way gameplay in Eve "forces"you to have multi accounts?

I have two accounts and for all I know I wasn't "forced" to create a second account, I wanted a second account of my own free will sooooooooo......no forcing in this regards........

Well that is the official stance; you don't need an alt, you can just trust another player with your very costly ship. Yeah right.

If this is how you feel no amount of changes are going to make you happy. I'd recommend flying with people you trust - if you don't have anyone in your space-life that fits the bill... start recruiting and weed out the bad apples until you have a functioning unit... it's what the rest of us do. Make friends, blow some **** up and lose a few ships... you'll have fun or decide Eve isn't what you thought it was.

... either that or CCP will continue removing functionality for the sake of "ohhhh pretty" and people like you will be all that's left. When that happens you'll know you've "won Eve" and inherited a steaming turd.

Either way, you're going to win, even when you lose.

Thanks for reading my post in its entirety all the way to the end. I believe I stated exactly what changes would make me happy, and both suggestions would be ADDING options to the game; not a single one of my suggestions was the removal of anything. I even had a disclaimer stating I don't want anything removed. Thanks for taking the time to understand my post; I was thinking that maybe I'd need to add pictures or bigger fonts to make the simpler people understand what I was saying, but clearly these were not needed.

Even in the situation where you want your main to be a JF pilot and in a major alliance often wardecced, why do you need a JF for highsec?

So i can get supplies from highsec?
If im just moving stuff from one nullsec system to another nullsec system, then one JF character would be fine. But if i want to get things from Jita, and haul them out to nullsec, i will need a highsec JF character to move the empty JF though highsec, to jita. You cant cyno the thing directly onto the Jita station, since you cant light cynos in highsec.

I cant use my main character as a highsec JF pilot since he's wardec'd 24/7 and usually has killrights.

I cant use a highsec JF alt in nullsec, since most large alliances wont set your neutral alts blue. And even if i did manage to get my own alliance to do it, theres no way to convince the allies to do it as well.

I've been hassling and paying others to move my **** for over a decade. I want my own JF so i dont have to bother others. Those other people i bother to get my stuff moved also have to deal with this. They too, have multiple accounts in order to do this exact same thing.

I shouldn't have to pay REAL MONEY for gameplay safety. Should it require ingame money? Sure maybe. But the definition of pay2win is requiring real money for an advantage.

You can't do everything solo, sorry bud.

Highsec is owned by players now. Systems 0.5-1.0 are New Order Territory. All miners and other residents of Highsec must obey The Code. Mining without a permit is dangerous and harmful to the EVE community. See www.MinerBumping.com
