For those who aren't aware and don't regularly check the test forum subsection, there are quite a few changes that have been made to the new camera on the test server. Highly recommend everyone log in and provide feedback in the appropriate thread there so that we can get as many issues that people may still have addressed. Preferably before they have to go to the trouble of pushing things live again only to have everyone complain.

Thus far only a tiny handful of ppl have posted so that's not a particularly large pool of feedback for them to draw from.

Since this is probably going to get locked, can I ask if we can get a stickied thread here on GD that either gets updated or that we can update to inform ppl of changes on the test server. I know it's just right over there -----> and ppl are certainly capable of looking for themselves but the truth is that most ppl just don't bother to look beyond GD and sometimes there are things that a greater part of the masses should really check out and provide feedback on before they go live. At least if there's a sticky here ppl can take a quick look and see what the hot topic of the day is regarding inbound changes.

when i tried the new camera, it was absurd. In one mode, dragging up would zoom in. In the other mode, dragging up would zoom out.
The movement also feels bulky and slow.

Once i noticed this, i immediately switched back to the old camera and never looked back.

Does the new camera have the "pan" function now that the old camera has, or can I still only pivot around my ship?

Oh so you're saying the new camera is better now? Does it still have the tracking camera operability?

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Tracking camera has been put back in and in fact has been back in for a while now. Anyone with questions should REALLY read the appropriate feedback threads and log in to the test server to test things for yourselves.

And Terminal Insanity, if you're not already aware the old camera is being removed completely so I highly recommend you start working with it and voicing any concerns you have in the feed back thread Located Here. Turning the new camera off is not going to be an option much longer.
