How to hunt Code

A lot of new players and infact some older ones have been asking me how to take part in messing up code ganks.
They start by asking can i join your group , well fist i want to say AG is not one group its many, made up of individual and small groups .
The reason for this, code spies, if any corp stand up to them , within a short time they will find them selves on the end of a war dec , Its one side of the war code are very good at , thats why you see so many people in npc or in small corps with plans set in place to reduce the effect of their war dec's.

Saying all the above you can still help but remember the risk.

So how

1) The sys around Uedama are the areas for the large ganks, these ganks happen at the gates and most time start with bumpers in machariel, make sure your in the AG channel Gank-Intel for intell. ( some great info here to read http://astralservices.net/?Anti-gankChannels) . They often have more then one bump going on at one time, to try and decoy us.

2) Ships : first rule use what you can lose, the safest way i think is to snipe, now i know this is not going to stop a gank unless we have a large group but one think code like to do is kill board pad, by firing at the gankers you may get the Final Blow, it also keeps you out of the range of the gank itself, which can give them more kills, and it gives you a chance to see how what happens in a gank.
By far the best way is to run Logisitic and EW to stop a gank.

3) Don't forget the free loot that drops from their ships , its always blue but you need to be fast these days. A Talos fleet is rich pickings.

4) To hunt small gank groups is harder and will take more player skill and luck , being in the right place at the right time , like any hunting would. To find these type of gankers use their killboard to pick your targets and take note of the times they are online, you will need to find their alts that call the gank in but ag channel often have that info.

As you take part in code hunting you will see other doing the same. do it long enough and you may get invites to AG fleets, its actions they look for now words in local. You may also see some Merc groups taking part, its best to look for these and set a seting for their corp or alliance, they shoot gankers for other reason , i have them set to grey.

thats it for now and feel free to talk to me in game if you need help. I'll post more as i think of it or other can and please don't post the same old negative crap. Stop ship spinning and do stuff....

I think it's about time for AG to lay out some of general info for those willing to participate. This is how many other professions/pastimes in EVE organized, including ganking itself.

And after all, interaction between groups is what this game is about, and it's not just two-way interaction regardless of your sphere of activity Blink

The reason AG fails is because they aren't as organized as CODE. A CODE. FC can put out the call that a freighter gank is going down and have 20+ in fleet within 30 minutes. As long as AG remains fragmented and without strong leadership it will continue to fail daily.

Code Fc's can send out a call , they have a drone fleet to call on and you know how lap dogs and fan boys
love to pleases. We are just a few who try and make a stand, code go to great effort to fragment us, its just one of the front we have to fight.

Maybe better than organizing into a large group, we should promote an idea, "the way" to fight gankers and if at the basic lvl you like and enjoy it then form other groups like repping group like Symphony-Angel posted about .

Alts don't take long to make or even get a new account for 1 mouth to try it out , buy a starter pack and get a bit more time, you need to find fun in what you do and if you don't realy care about the ships being popped do it to stop code because they say you can't.

Here's a thing , instead of giving reasons why AG fail, show up in Uedama with a logistics ship and help.
Talk to Symphony-Angel and get something working , sure she's up for it and i'll support her too.

If any noncoms out there want to suppy logistics ship or even fitted ship. that would be great..

Content is fun, but you do need a competent leader (and not someone kicking anyone with a clue about what they're doing)
Also, an official corp/alliance will help to get attention..
No one's going to bother helping a bunch of dudes in npc corp / corp hoppers

And if you get decked, Adapt, fight and learn from your experiences. You will never learn if you keep running and you'll look like a fool.

I didn't bother shiptoasting on this post and went with the "let's give some advice" way in the hope that a light will be lit up.

And Nitshe, don't bother putting salt all over the place Cool

Why on earth would I do that? I have a permit. I'm CODE. compliant. Much easier that way. Not to mention, it is the law.

Seems a bit salty there... just a hit of bitterness. And here I thought you were doing this as a content driver. Roll

Since you seem to have some deep seated feelings that you have yet to share, I will ask the standard question... please show us on the doll where CODE touched you. Cool

Isn't this like kinda stupid because you can just show up in uedama and just shoot them when Concord does. This is like posting up plans to hunt a whale that's already been caught. "Boys grab your guns we are going to the fishery to hunt"

Dear Saeger1737,

We have been waiting for years for someone to step up and destroy us. Please, please stop discouraging likely candidates.

Imagine the great rebel leaders of highsec would finality unite to fight us:

DrysonBenningthon, with his game mechanic expertise
JT Clone "Fishermanspider" Ares, as the strategic mastermind
Tora "no show" Bushido with his extensive knowledge about EVE station interiors
Ledrian "the spay" Saisima, as the intelligence specialist
Admiral Foxbolt, as the alliance lawyer for internet spaceship harassment
Ripart Teg, obviously in his function as the famous internet detective!

An almost perfect team, but they clearly lack someone who can lead people, maybe Ozzie is the final piece of the puzzle? I fear CODE. will be doomed.. Shocked

Heres how you get more people to join your cause ozzie -

1. From past "ag" leaders the only one to ever make it fun was Gorila Vengaza, he tried to make it fun through showing up in Police comets and talking in local about stopping the criminals

2. stop trying to actually stop the ganks, you will never succeed, try do something funny like alphaing catalysts off grid, or bumping the freighter after we have landed.

3. Stop with the hate. so many AG are so up tight and angry over ganking that they let there real life emotions get in the way of what this game is about - having fun.

4. HAVE FUN

5. stop supporting people in your community that start with real life attacks on code members. leave the anger ingame - ingame.

6. the 99% of the times you guys have failed you never say anything, ag just get more and more angrier at us. just chill out and relax. when you guys fail which you always do, just take it gracefully.

7. did you manage to replace your fail fit blackbird?

Ozzie, this is gold.

If you don't see something here that creates change for you, message John E Normous and ask if he will let you join comms and help gank something.

Knowing your enemy will help you fight him. It may also open your eyes to some things you do not yet know. Either way, an education never hurt anyone.

Once you are exposed to both sides (and meet the players), I'm curious to see which side you will end up on.

I can tell you that in my experience, the pvp community has no bullying like what exists within carebear corporate structure. I bet you will hear more spirit, laughing, and kindness on CODE channels than on your AG channels.
