Launcher crashes after todays Launcher Update

As in topic, Launcher got an update just now and crashes now al the time ...

EDIT:
Setting wine to emulate Windows XP seems to fix that issue ....

Can you dig up the launcher logs and send them to me? They're under %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher on Windows.

Might be worth setting the environment variable QT_OPENGL to either 'desktop' or 'angle' (if none is set it defaults to software). Let me know if that helps.

It does not start immediately after updating (01.03)

My launcher also crashes on startup after applying todays patch.



EDIT: changing the os to Windows XP in winecfg allowed the launcher to run.

My launcher crashes too. Changing the QT_Opengl variable did not help at all.

switching winecfg to windows xp worked for me

I can confirm that the launcher does crash under Wine 1.9.4 on my Ubuntu box unless I switch to XP in winecfg. It appears to crash deep down in Qt so this won't be a quick fix, but I'll see what I can do.

If switching to XP doesn't work, you can also try adding --disable-web-gui to the command line - that will at least allow the launcher to patch the game. You can launch clients as well, but the launcher won't log you in - you'd have to do that on the old ingame login screen.

Tried all this suggestion, all of them didn't work

XP, --disable-web-gui,QT_Opengl.

Any other suggestion.

The environment variable name must be in all upper case - QT_OPENGL.
