Triple Monitor setup help + General questions

Hi,

I'm a returning player to EVE: Online, but I never really got too far in the first place; slightly past the tutorials and a few noobie missions. It's always been a game I've left then always ended up coming back because I needed a challenging game to fill my open universe MMO void.

This time I'm returning with some hardware changes. I've upgraded to a triple monitor setup.
Really, the only question I have with this is, how/can I move my side menus to my center monitor?
My resolution counts as one massive resolution (5760x1080) and swinging my head to the left and right isn't the most efficient way of gaming, especially when I need to quickly access something.

Any information with this is much appreciated

In-game questions:
My idea of fun in an MMO is profitable exploration and PvP. What skills are more important for me to learn? And what are some ways to get myself into PvP? Are there areas where there are generally noobies to try PvP? Is the Skirmisher Content Pack worth investing?

I might add question, but this is all I have for now :)

Thanks !

Answering only the 'getting into PVP' questions.

You can pick a fight with anyone that is undocked, anywhere, any time. There are some advantages offered to defenders in areas that are supposed to be secure (for instance, if you are in Deltole, a highsec system with security status 0.5, and I attack you unprovoked, NPCs will appear in about 22 seconds and disable then destroy my ship. If you are in Rancer, a lowsec system with 0.4 security status, and I attack you unprovoked, any NPC sentry guns that happen to be on grid (these are near gates and stations) will fire on me and apply about 400 DPS - providing a lesser bonus to the defender than in highsec.

If you pick a fight with someone that is expecting it, you can turn off these advantages by either duelling them (in which case third parties will pay a steep price for intervening), or declaring war on their corporation (in which case you can't shoot them for 24 hours, and both you and the target can bring friends).

Or you can go into a wormhole or nullsec or lowsec away from a gate.

If preying upon people in highsec sounds interesting to you, flip me an evemail and I'll make you some introductions.

You don't have an open universe MMO void if you have Eve.

As far as what skills that you need there are plenty of resources out there to find out how to optimize your skill training. However I want to caution you against thinking that you need skills for anything. New characters now-a-days I believe are born with everything that you need to PvP if not we are talking minutes not hours or days to get that done.

Yes there are skills that can improve your abilities slightly but this game is not about skill points. Your personal knowledge of the game is far more important. In that respect you would be much better served by just jumping into PvP. You'll learn what skills you use and train more of those.

It's ok to make a skill plan but waiting on a skill queue before you do stuff is counter productive. Just get out there and do it. The understand of what to train will come with experience. Just train what you need right now.

Not going for the PvP side.

If your monitors are set a one large desktop then switching to the windowed mode should allow you to expand the client window to fill all the available space. What that will look like and how it will work I have no idea, I never tried it.

Considering the CCP uses a parent/child window model the results may be less than agreeable, but you will only know by experimenting.
