If I was running a mining fleet with an Orca and a eight+ squad, and we had EFCs deployed to ore container storage and drones out and rats were attacking when the servers went wonky, does anyone have a clue what the damage is going to be once this downtime is over?

Will the EFCs have failed?
Will the rats have blown us all out of the stars?

Anyone have practical experience here?

What is EFC?

The server is down so all accounts are effectively logged off, even the npc's are all logged off. Don't worry, in the highly unlikely event something has happened to any of your ships CCP will reimburse loses if you file a support ticket.

When the server is back up all accounts should still be logged off, until you decide to log them back in.

Rats should not have done enough damage to kill you between shutdowns, If so file a support ticket.

Thanks guys... Lost all my deployed drones, my MTU, and the EFCs full of ore, but didn't loose my ships, my pilots, the implants, or anything that was still "on board".

Oddest thing was, when the servers came back up, my fleet wasn't all where we dropped off... Some of us were at the gate, some were at a random POS point, some of us in the ore belt where we had been mining.

It's like the server didn't update our positions for over an hour before it crashed...
