There was a time when gankers did what they did for pure adrenal stimulation and the crack-like addiction of doing it again in 15 minutes, when the criminal counter dissolves. In my beginning ganking pods that didn't show implants on the killmail, I timed my ganks perfectly and got a kill every time. I would have to base their worth on the hate mail I received.
As implants appeared on killmails I was delighted to see how many pod pilots auto-piloted in expensive high grade sets. As the billions in killmails rolled in, I was content. My 15 minute wait I would have a tea or do something on an alt, perhaps kill another victim.
I allowed myself to be used by several groups to pad their killboards, which I didn't mind. By this time professional ganking was in its infancy. There was no code or james351, just bliss on a personal level. Psychotic hate eve mails came my way and I was mystified and in bliss.
As my bounty and negative sec status grew, I enjoyed the anonymity of what I did. I trained a tornado pilot when they came out to gank and loot the wrecks of haulers on hubs. This was a very profitable venture, if time consuming.
By this time I noticed my exploits had not gone unnoticed and I was competing for my food. Plus, I had either weeded out all the stupids, or less people were auto piloting.
I fell back on my first love, margin trading, and here I still am. I buy low and make a profit off everyone who shops in jita. My market quickbar is my weapon now and it is extremely profitable for me.
Although I miss fostering ganking in its beginnings, I have a sizeable bounty and my negative ten status to prove I fought in the trenches and made a viable pass-time into a pseudo religion in Eve.

I valued myself as an artiste who saw colour,vibrancy, and depth in the actions I performed. The fine brush strokes of my artillery and the often colourful critique by some of my experiments.

Being a part of an organized rabbles of gankers was never my intention. I had a vision of causing frustration in my "clients" but never for monetary gain, that was just a benefit. I did it for the rush and the somewhat sociopathic tendency to cause people grief through either time wasted or monetary loss.

Such is my character.

It would seem many would be content ganking freighters and such. What a blow this must be to the pathetic mongrels!
The righteous wrath of those who walk my path must be glorious to behold!
I feel I must return and take my place amongst my brethren to bring pain and delay to our prey. To cause a reaction that would cause discouragement and take that which is most important in our lives, time, would make me whole again.

Why not head out to the far reaches of highsec, to take advantage of those who have become complacent, living in systems that see little to zero action?

If you want to continue to be a trailblazer, instead of resting on long-forgotten laurels, you should head out there again and gank those who are deserving of righteous antimatter. Set highsec ablaze, as it was always intended to be.
