Myself, I love Providence and what they have managed to build over the years, unfortunately, nobody told me when I started that if i shot someone, I would be made KOS, so now, it is my hunting grounds, I wanted to FC for them to be honest, but wouldn't remove my KOS, so yeah, look up Providence, it is really impressive what they have done.

So it is easy to get off of the KoS list. All that you have to do make good with all of the pilots of the ships that you destroyed. The simpliest way of doing this is to pay them the isk value of their loss.

Another thing that you can do is join a corp that is blue. You will have to do some explaining to get their trust but you can do it. I've seen players that once were red join blue corps and become valuable local residents. I've also seen blues leave and join or create red corps.

If you are seriously interested in joining the blue side of Provi NRDS gameplay You can start out on their website. Where there is a will there is a way.

So I should make another character that is Amarr and join them?

CVA has eased up on the whole RP a little. However CVA are not the only members of Provi block not to mention that you do not need to be in a sov holding corp to live in Provi. You've got: Yulai Federation, Se3rance, Sanctuary Pact which are all Provi NRDS sov holders. You also have The Volition Cult which used to be a Provi Sov holder and has now moved to extend NRDS into Catch last that I heard.

You also have corps like the one that my main is in that don't hold Sov but have lived in Provi for years and help to contribute locally to the effort.

OP if you are interested in NRDS game play or living in Provi convo me in game or send me a message and we'll talk more about it.

Ok. Yeah I had to leave those recruitment places. I literally cried :(

You can't be so thin skinned and play this game. Well I guess technically you could be but then you'd have to like crying a lot.

Looks like Tiffany joined Mandalorian Arms, which I think was supposed to be a manufacturing corp.; they were war-decced on Feb. 22 by Devi's Warrior Alliance, on 24 (when she joined) by Pirat, and on 27 by Ni4OSI. And judging by the killboard link glfdex provided, the wars are very active with lots of kills.

I'm guessing that people are smack-talking in local, using profanity.

Also, Tiffany now has an exact 1 million ISK bounty, and is probably not logging in (no kills or deaths).

Thanks for the update. I could not figure out what was going on from the links.

It's possible that this is an "establish a cover, fish for a wardec target, infiltrate, and provide target intel" story. Although, with evewho providing a full list of Mandalorian Arms' members, such a hoax doesn't seem necessary, unless it was to find them in w-space, where locator agents don't function.

Intriguing!

Or maybe it's a 'find out who's carrying 7 plex in a noobship' story.

I have a bounty on me? Why? I didn't do anything to anybody. I was invited to join this corp but there is not many people online and It wont let me leave (I am in some 24 hour waiting period?) when I found out they were at war and I got moved into some alliance chat thing.

Have I gotten myself into trouble? I log on every day but nobody told me someone wants me blown up :( All I do is mine in the safe areas. I'm not hurting anybody. I made 5 million now with what I have mined. Am I allowed to pay off the bounty on me myself or something?

Just like a butterfly, I'm pretty to look at but hard to catch :)

Yes you have a bounty on you. Your portrait will say "wanted" in-game.

Bounties are considered useless in this game because the only way for people to claim your bounty is to kill your ship, and then they only get 20% of the value of your ship. So if you fly a 400k frigate, they get 80k per kill, and they probably spend more than 80k on ammunition, so it's not worth it.

Your corporation is at war with 3 pirate / PVP corporations. That means they can ask a locator agent to locate you (and all the other members of the corp) and they can kill you in high-sec without CONCORD interference. Typically when at war, people get a few war ships (frigates in your case I guess) and stop flying industrial ships; they go looking for fights, because your enemies sure will look for you.

It's a PVP game, we blow each other up. You have to give up this idea that you're going to be able to avoid PVP if you just are nice and don't "hurt" anyone. Because you won't be able to avoid it; it's everywhere in this game.

Wait your 24 hour period and then you'll be placed in an NPC corp, and the Mandalorian Arms war won't affect you anymore. Next time you join a corp, right-click and show info on the recruiter, then click his corp icon at the top, then look at al the tabs to see if they're at war. Industrialist or mining corps have wars declared against them all the time, because they are easy prey.

EDIT: Regarding the mail, log into the game to check it.

Given you are playing EVE Online, I would say, yes, you got yourself into trouble.

Tiffany Hope wrote:

Roids and therefor minerals are not spawned just for you. They are spawned for every miner. If you mine them they can't. Expect some miners to understand this and to consider you to be competition. This being EVE, that competition is of the cut-throut kind. And if there is cut-throut competition you better hold the knife.

A close friend of mine told you that Albert Dexson placed a bounty on your head (you should have gotten a mail with that information). Watch your back.

Bounties are far from useless. If you place a bounty of 1B on a dedicated freighter pilot, you may actually render that char useless. Your bounty is just 1M. Unlikely anybody will seek you out for that. However, if there is another pilot happily mining away right next to you, but without a bounty, you will be a preferred pick.

You have gotten yourself into trouble be joining the wrong corp. They are sheep. You should know very well what the Dingos do to sheep. Join the Dingos and you will be much safer.

You can't hurt anyone while playing EVE Online. Anything you see on screen is property of CCP Games (who are Vikings, what explains a lot). They grant you exclusive right to use what you call "my ship" if you are docked. As soon as you undock any player has the right to use that ship. The way to use that ship may differ, depending your standpoint, but they are property of CCP Games nonetheless. So how can you hurt me by shooting some internet spaceship that belongs to CCP Games?

Of cause this is all just semantics. Because in the end EVE is just Ludo on a massive scale. So why would one want to play a game where he can be kicked back to the start? If you can answer that question, you understood EVE (and mankind for that matter).

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

I think you can have a second account, take down your other account while in a rookie ship (so you don't lose a nice ship) and that will eliminate the bounty, or so I've heard but I have no idea how true that is. You can collect on your own bounty and teach the bounty makers a lesson in the process. It can be done with a trusted fellow player, but as others point out, finding some you REALLY can trust in EVE isn't all that easy...

Tiffany you don't need to worry about bounties. The concepts that you have about right and wrong get thrown out the window the second that you log into this game. You don't have to do anything wrong to have people come after you in this game.

Also worth pointing out is that high sec is full of players looking for soft targets meaning people looking to PvP against players that have no idea how to PvP. In all honesty if you want to get away from that type of gameplay move to null sec. There is seriously less PvP in null sec than in high sec, at least that has been my experience.

So don't worry about the bounty and stop thinking what did you do wrong when people come after you. This is a forum alt for me because in this game if I were to come into the forums and talk openly about not seeking out PvP I'd likely have a list of players chasing me down and trying to force me to PvP. It's just how this game is. You can be ok with that or not but the game will still be what it is.

You don't have to become anything in particular to play this game. However you also can change the game from the core of what it is. You have to find your place in it but allow it to be what it is.

You are thinking of kill rights, which can be shed in a rookie ship if they are made available to the public. That's why you should never make a kill right available for free, they'll just use an alt to clear it. You want to make them cheap enough that someone goes "yeah I'll pay that to attack this guy" but not cheap enough that you don't get anything from it.

Bounties are different. The payout is a percentage of the cost of worth of the ship hull. Rookie ships aren't worth anything so it would take millions of them (if not an infinite amount) to clear a bounty. It's never cost effective to clear your own bounty because you have to blow up a lot more than you will make from the payout. Otherwise bounties would be worthless as it would be like giving free money to your enem(ies alts).

Thank you for clearing that up, I was getting them confused. I kinda thought they were related somehow.

Using the term 'bounty' is confusing then. It doesn't work like the modern, real world, term bounty.

Given your attitude you probably wouldn't, this is my main and I post in a very similar vein; I've gotten hate mail for telling carebears how not to die, from carebears and the odd white knight Roll, haven't gotten any from PvP folks though.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
