Ok you know the targeting box and how it's a picture of what your shooting?

So if say your're shooting a Nightmare whether its a NPC or a Player it's the same static image of a Nightmare,

What if it was a PIP (Picture in Picture) of the actual target itself?

It could be low texture, even have turrets disabled, even god forbid not be anti aliased?

You may actually see what your shooting once and a while.

This is a terrible idea isn't it?

I'll go back to being me now.

Thanks.

Just confirming that you do know there is a button that lets you zoom in on your target right??

Umm I am slightly confused as to the purpose of this? Just to look pretty? I mean sure its a good idea if it didn't increase system load in any way.

Sounds cool, but how meany players would die in tragic computer fires?

I wanted to paint my space ship red, but I couldn't find enough goats.

The fitting screen looks the same on the killmail

Sure am glad we stopped CCP from dumbing down EVE with WiS tho.

Question

My apologies for not further enhancing the entertainmant value of the forums for people.

Nobody needs to see what they are shooting in PvP because it's all about killmail farming. When you submit a killmail to a killmail site, the killmaill appears in the form of a loadout screen, similar to our fittings grid, indicating what the fit was. This is what ship loss looks like in the grand scheme of things. I wouldn't be so bold as to say players of the great and complex game of EVE dumb the game down. That would be just wrong.

OP, your idea while has potential, those in EVE can leave thier imagination at the door. It has no value here. Sorry if I seem bitter. For what its worth, I don't impose this bitterness on to people when ingame. Just on the forums. I can't speak for the other people in EVE though. many of them might in fact feel obligated to impose thier bitterness on you both ingame and on the forums. That is there choice.

Allow me to leave as my tl:dr limit is slowly creeping up.

Thank you for showing an interest in EVE. I will put your suggestions to good use.

Actually i quite often (read 60% of the time) forget to even post killmails. I fight to see those white bars turn red.. DEATH TO WHITE BARS!

I would prefer that we just have an easy to use 'dogfight' tracking mode. Unless I am missing something, right now you need to go in to complex camera settings, set yourself (or something) as one camera point, then set yours target as the other camera point. You then need to just through all the hoops again for the next target. What I would prefer is an single button to point the camera at my target and track it while watching from behind (relatively) so that both my ship and the target ship are in view. For me at least it would help improve situational awareness.

if I'm in a fight my primary concern is far from watching the turret animations of my active target
and in the instances where I want to know what the targets orientation is I use the zoom

or are you talking about pve?
