Hi!
We are planning a mass test for the March release on Singularity on Tuesday, March 1st, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

General client + server performance
Stuck problems after explosions

How to connect to Singularity for this test:
* New Launcher (recommended): Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the launcher and log in.
* Old Launcher: Read instructions at the end of this post
Join the in-game channel "MassTesting"

Test steps: (subject to change)

Be in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
Jump to X-BV98
Align to POS beacon
Warp to POS beacon
Shoot the control tower
Fleet W: Align and jump to Poitot setup gate camp
Fleet X: Jump to Poitot
Commence fleet fight

What else should I know?
Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test

Appendix: Login to Singularity through the old launcher (try to use the new launcher if possible):

1. Create a separate folder for your test client (e.g. "C:\evetest")
2. Open your default EVE folder (by default located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP" )
3. Copy everything from your original EVE folder (by default located at "C:\Program Files\CCP" ) to the new ("C:\evetest").
4. Create a shortcut for the new eve.exe file inside C:\evetest
5. Right click on the shortcut and select properties, then select the shortcut tab
6. Add /server:Singularity and press OK (Make sure to add a space before the slash (or forward slash))
The final look of the Target line would look something like this:
"C:\evetest\eve.exe" /server:Singularity
7. Then double click on the shortcut
The EVE launcher will start and patch your client if necessary
8. Press "Play" to start the client and log in

We stress tested Project Discovery already in a mass test in January and we could not any performance problems on Singularity, but we are for sure still keeping an eye on it.

Totally true and I am already working on the new pages, but the alternative location is unfortunately not available yet - I'll switch the links on Monday (they might be unavailable for a few hours while web sites are being worked on). The new location will be a new subsection on the Community site.

I had no problems installing the new launcher, launching singularity, and moving to FD-MLJ with the /moveme. I've tried to follow the steps, but i cant find the POS beacon. So i log off near the gate X-BV98 with my ishtar. Is it ok ? Anything i should know ? Cause it seems the links has disappeard. See you tomorrow

The POS beacon won't be there until just before test time.

Also, it's recommended to have several ships docked in FD-MLJ.

They usually have "massmoveme" enabled about an hour before the test starts.
