Chat Logs as a item similar to bookmarks

Noob here with a dumb idea.

Allow chat logs to be recorded and stored in a way similar to bookmarks. These logs could then be contracted in a similar way. Might lead to some interesting intrigue between larger alliances with spies being sold out or something of that nature. May also have no affect whatsoever.

I realize it might get bypassed with things like skype/teamspeak but sometimes just proof that a convo occured might be incriminating. Additionally these logs would be "official" in comparison to screenshots which could potentially be modified.

Let me know you think and please dont flame me!Big smile

Are they not stored somewhere within the EVE folder? I seem to recall looking at them about seven years ago and thinking..."damn, I sure can chat some ****"

they are stored in $user/Documents/EVE/logs, and you can disable that feature in the settings as well

It seems to me like the external storage makes it no longer authoritative, as they could be externally modified, unlike an ingame item. In the same way that having a third party witness to a contract can make a difference to validating that the contract that was signed hasn't been modified.
