Been an interesting week, started with a scrappy fight in Akidagi on the 25th where I fed in 3 cruisers and lost all of them including a blingy Orthrus. The real fun was had at the weekend though. It started with another scrappy fight against Ducklings where I again fed in 2 ships stupidly and lost them both, one a blingy Garmur. However, round 2 of the fight saw us more organised and we wiped out the larger enemy gang without loss as they fed in one by one just as stupidly as we had done the first time around.

On Saturday evening Wolfsdragoon was running a T3 fleet to stage 2 bash a POCO. I was hestitant to join the fleet as I hadn't flown with him before, but he had a good reputation and so I pulled out a Loki for it. We started off quite late in the evening and he had called the op an hour before the POCO came out. Thus there was a lengthy but well organised form up. Eventually we set off for Renarelle, jumped in as the POCO came out and quickly bashed it down.

The POCO belonged to the pirate alliance Separatists. As soon as it exploded, a Separatist Crane decloakes 200Kms off and dropped another POCO. We tried to reach him but he warped off/cloaked and escaped. So we turned our attention to the new POCO, it was really quite frustrating, because although it was still deploying/onlining there was not a thing we could do about it. I think there should be a mechanic whereby the deploying character has to stay on grid until it finishes or the deployment should be able to be halted if an enemy reaches the POCO before it finishes. Instead we had to sit there and watch it spawn into a new POCO and then start shooting it again with the prospect of another timer for the second stage bash.

Before we could bash it to the timer, Separatists bought in their fleet. We actually engaged them on the Aubenall gate. To be frank, I didn't really know what was going on, other than that they bought in a fleet of mostly Harbingers and dropped a Carrier. We brought in our batphone, Snuffbox, mainly in Absolutions and one or two carriers of our own. Separatists inexplicably escalated with a single Naglfar dreadnought. The fight went on for ages and I expended nearly 4000 rounds of RF Phased Plasma ammunition. The Naglfar went down, loads of Harbingers and some blingy stuff followed. The Caldari militia brought a fleet in to 3rd party and got slaughtered. Finally we killed the Carrier and mopped up. Our losses were one Guardian and two T3 Cruisers including the links. I got on 26 kills worth over 10B, but a lot more than that went down.

One downside was that a lot of the targets were non flashy and my sec status had suffered. I'd been trying to keep it on the right side of -4.0, the point at which the faction police spawn on you in a 0.6 system (Ichoriya). But after that fight it was at -4.5. I returned to Enaluri and as I was still buzzing decided to do some ratting. There are 17 belts in Enaluri and it is common to find a BS in one of them, but this time I found no less than four and killed them all, leaving a single frigate in each spawn to chain them. However, after the forth, decided to go to bed as it was nearly 2am.

I was up and online before downtime the next morning and decided to check the belts again to see if any of the BS spawns were still there. Second belt I found a BS, next belt I found a Clone Soldier and as I was killing this, my alt was scouting through the rest of the belts and came across a Mordu Legion frigate. Incredibly, I bumped my alt onto the next belt to get him out of the way and he found yet another Mordu Legion frigate, thus I ended up getting 2 Garmur BPCs, both of which went straight into the oven.

That started a great day off. Around 6 corpies were online most of the day and we made a string of kills, mostly in Akidagi, which including a Maelstrom and a Rokh. The Rokh was not flashy and came in from Ichoriya to fight us on the gate, probably expecting the gate guns to assist him. However, he had a killright of 10 Isk on him which I spotted with my alt while he was still in Ichoriya and I activated with Trant as soon as he decloaked.

Sunday ended with another T3 fleet POCO bash led by Wolfsdragoon which I joined more readily in my Loki. Once again it was a Separatist POCO, once again they tried to decloak a crane nearly 2000 Kms off and drop another POCO as soon as the first one exploded. But this time we were ready for it and got our POCO out first. They opted not to fight us this time, but we did gank down a Phobos and a Vexor of theirs that was gate camping a neighbouring system.

Ended the week 79 kills for 6 losses and the month 310 kills for 20 losses.

Tuesday Feb 2nd - Started with a brief camp of the Ichoriya gate where we killed a Hookbill and Cerberus. But then a bunch of friendlies arrived and it became a bit of a turkey shoot. Myself, Dreaded and Helen decided to get into T1 Frigates and run the plexes in Akidagi to see if we could encourage a proper fight and we got one against a Jaguar and Hawk, killing them both with ease. Only after the fight did I realise that Dreaded was in a Succubus and Helen was in a Garmur, so the outcome wasn't so impressive. I had been in my trusted Breacher.

Wednesday Feb 3rd - Fewer of us on the Ichoriya gate this time and got some challenging fights/ganks. Including 2 Stilettos, Hecate, Myrmidon, Thorax and Stabber.

Thursday Feb 4th - Began en route into Enaluri from Akidagi in a Breacher. A friendly Marauder was on the gate, flown by one of the French pilots known for bringing the bling. Just as I jumped he convo'd me and asked me to provide tackle in the large plex where a WT Armageddon was lurking, he warped to the plex without waiting for my answer. I duly turned around and jumped back to Akidagi and warped to the plex. The Marauder had already landed and I quickly got point on the Armageddon, but then local spiked and several WT warped in including at least 2 other Battleships. We pressed on and killed the Armageddon, but almost immediately the Marauder went down, I baled at that point. Overall a bad exchange for the Gallente militia, but I came out well pleased with the final blow on the Armageddon.

Dev was running an advertised roam, blingy frigates, I brought a worm, we got a few kills but then I lost it stupidly trying to hold down a Brutix while the rest of the gang arrived. It eventually went down, but killed Dev's Worm in addition to mine first.

Friday 5th February 2016 - Dreaded wanted to bring a Megathron back from Nisawa, it only had about 5 days insurance left on it and he was keen to find a decent fight to lose it in. A couple of us scouted for him, myself in a Breacher, during which I caught a lone Catalyst on a gate and soloed it. We returned to Akidagi and between skirmishing in the plexes and camping the high sec gate, made a bunch of kills. Unfortunately Dread lost his Megathron to a bunch of neutral without getting the decent fight he had wanted. In the early hours of the next morning I tried to take a 1 v 2 fight in a novice plex, my Breacher against a WT Punisher and Incursus. I managed to crash the warp in and get to range putting a point on the Incursus, but then I allowed the Punisher to catch and scram me. A WT Rifter arrived and they took me down.

I warped my pod out direct to the Enaluri gate, a mistake as the area is rife with Smart Bomber, but I got away with it. However, I was still aggressed and rather than wait on the gate another 30 odd seconds decided to bounce to the POS. Once there I turned around and actually considered warping back to the gate tactical bookmark, but there were only 3 WTs in local and I knew what they were flying. Only one familiar neutral and I knew he didn't do Smart Bombing. I was tired, so I warped straight to the gate, landed on the said neutral in a smart bombing Maller and lost a mid grade Halo pod.

Saturday 6th February 2016 - Feeling the need to earn some Isk to offset the expensive Pod loss, I scanned down some cosmic sigs and got a Guristas combat site. I ran it with a Tengu, it was a multi room site with 40 or 50 BS and paid out around 50M just in bounties. The final drop was disappoinging, a Dread Guristas X-Large Shield Booster worth around 10M, plus some faction ammo and the tag. But the site escalated.

Round 2 was 8 jumps away in Eranakko, I took a Stratios, warped in killed the boss at range, bookmarked the wreak, warped out and returned to a lone wreak. 110M of loot, main item being a Dread Guristas Warp Scrambler. Round 3 was another 7 jumps away in Ikoskio, same routine, this time 150M loot, main item being a Dread Guristas Ballistic Control. Round 4 was back 3 jumps from my home in Vlillirier, but drop was poor at around 10M. Final round was 6 jumps through null sec, I decided I wasn't going to go there and called it for the night, feeling that I'd achieved what I set out to do.

Sunday 7th February 2016 - I decided to try for the final escalation and ran my alt to Jita to purchase two Manticores and their fittings to take on Serpentis rats, along with a replacement Worm. I got them back to Enaluri and fitted them up, then discovered my alt couldn't fly Caldari T2 frigates.

I'd replaced the mid grade Halo set, but now I jumped to an empty pod for the null sec trip. Hardly had I done this than Bengal asked me to come into Akidagi and help him with some WTs running plexes. He had one other alliance guy with him, while there were 4 WTs. I went over and switched between a Caracal, Comet and Firetail, Bengal was switching between a Thorax and a Comet, while the final guy, greg215, was in a Comet/Vexor. We had a great series of fights and took down 5 Caracals, a Vexor, 2 Comets, a Breacher and 2 Tristans without loss, some satisfying and very close call fights.

Took my trip out to null, Trant in a Manticore and my alt in a Purifier, we got to the target system, but found the escalation was a multi room site and the first room needed clearing. Didn't have a chance and lost my alt's Purifier attempting. Came back suitably chastised, but got both the pod and Trant's Manticore back without further incident.

As I came into Enaluri, a guy came into my comms room and asked me to help kill a Naga and 2 Vexor Navy Issues hitting an offline POS in Innia. He had a warp in, was double boxing a VNI + logi, plus had a Hurricane FI and an Aruzu in fleet. I jumped into a Zealot and raced over. We sprang the trap, but it was an 89 AU warp in. As soon as we spiked into system the Naga baled. But when I landed the two VNIs were still there, the friendly Arazu had already landed or decloaked, but he hadn't called point. I pointed one of the VNIs and called it. It was called as primary, others landed, the second VNI warped out. I don't know! We killed the one remaining and it was bling fit, worth over 530M with 300M dropped. Not only that, but 4 Geckos, 4 Augmented Hammerheads and 2 Augmented Hobgoblins were left on the field. We dragged the loot to the Innia station and divided up the spoils and then I went home.

As I arrived in Enaluri I decided to send my alt into the belts for a quick look around and he found a Mordu Legion Special Ops Battleship. I was a like a headless chicken for a minute trying to decide what to use to kill it. I've encountered them before and knew they were tough nuts that webbed and scrammed. I'd only once done it solo and had used a Machariel from range. But this had been in Huola and my Machariel was still there. The only BS I had was the Megathron Navy Issue that I'd recently bought with my LP. I decided to go for it, probably foolishly with hindsight. I landed at about 10 Kms from the rat and aligned back to station, I was blaster fit with an optimal of 13-15Km. The rat got the first shot off and took off about 25% of my shield. My first shot took off about 5% of his shield and he was active tanked. 'Gulp'. Then I was webbed and scrammed. It was going to be to the death and I was far from certain that I would win, but worse was that I couldn't warp out if a 3rd party appeared. I turned towards the rat, flew straight at him and overheated my guns. My shields vanished, but then my real tank (armor) proved much more sturdy. It still took a good couple of minutes, but once his shields went, he dropped fast and died with me in about 50% armor. Barghest BPC scooped and it went straight to my alt and then into the cooker.

I'm tired but buzzing after this success. Then greg215 is convoing me asking for help in Akidagi again. After the previous encounter, he seemed to think I knew what I was doing and of course I had to oblige. I went over in my new Worm to show him how good I was and promptly lost it, although we did kill 5 dessies in the fight. I reshipped into a Caracal, greg215 lost his Vexor and reshipped into a Comet. Some of the WTs legged it, another reshipped into a Vigilent. We blue balled the Vigilent and shortly it left. A Stabber FI arrived instead and this we took on. It was a good fight, nearly killed greg's comet before he burned out, finally killed my Caracal while in low structure and greg was able to get back and finish it off. It turned out to be quite bling fit and an interesting double repper set up that I'm considering trying out. I rebuilt another Caracal and recovered around 80M of loot from the various wreaks. Another Stabber FI turned up, this time neutral, we engaged and almost killed it, but it burned out of point range and warped off. Leaving 5 Augmented Hobgoblins behind and b*tching about two of us (Comet and Caracal) ganging up on his poor Stabber FI with the blingy drones.

Monday 8th February 2016

Largely an evening of Logistics. I sent my alt back to Huola to pick up my PvP Machariel, although I was incentised by the need for something to kill another Mordu Legion BS from outside scram range. Using the blaster fit Megathron NI again was a dumb idea that I'd been lucky to get away with the first time.

The Barghest came out of the cooker and my alt took the Machariel via Jita to purchase some mods and rigs needed for the Barghest. I got him back to Enaluri and fitted up the Barghest, then realised it could do the ranged ratting I'd brought the Machariel over for. I'd fitted it with Rapid Heavies and it could shoot out to over 100 Kms.

I joined Dread on the Ichoriya gate in a C*ckbag and we killed a blingy Goonswarm Svipul worth 250M, but drop was poor. Then while on my own, I killed a neutral Magnet. I scooped the loot, it was crap, 280K, half of which was for 3 warp core stabs. But then I saw the killmail, a 69M kill! It had been carrying a stack of 72 Light Missile Launcher IIs. A mod that I use a lot, but not one of them had dropped. Boo!

Tuesday 9th February 2016

Began with a scrappy fight in Akidagi against Ducklings. A corp that we have been getting a lot of fights with of late. They are a real mixed bunch, some times we own them and sometime they own us. Part of the reason for the mixed results is that there are a couple of local solo BS/bling guys in the GalMil who operate in our area. To be frank they are a pain in the arse because they rarely are in comms or fleet with us, thus their contribution is at best uncoordinated and it completely screws up the balancing calculations. Causing Ducklings to either run or overship. Then us to feed into hopeless fights trying to save a friendly Rattlesnake or Sleipnir.

I came out of this fight with 8 decent kills while losing 2 Caracals which doesn't sound so bad. But we also lost the friendly Sleipnir and Dreaded lost a Vagabond.

Dreaded was running a fun fleet at 8pm, Battle Navitas. Eight of us set off on a roam and got an early success ganking down a Vexor NI in Oicx. We moved on and got a couple of small fights in plexes against a couple of frigate each time which we baited with two of our number, killing a Tormentor in one and a Griffin NI in another. Dread though lost his Navatas and I took over bringing the fleet back slowly to Enaluri to pick up a reshipped Dread. On the way we ganked down a Thrasher on a gate. Then Dread reported finding a bunch of abandoned ships at a safe or planet in Akidagi with a container stating they had been stolen. We rushed over to that system.

We think the ships had belonged to Ducklings and they had been stolen out of their POS by the same neutral who had Smart Bombed my pod a few nights earlier. One of the ships was a smart bombing Maller which we assume the neutral had swapped out of to steal a more valuable ship. Other ships included a well fitted Osprey, a crap fit Arbitrator and maybe a dozen frigates and dessies, most of them poorly fit and some of them carrying armor, structure and heat damage.

Dreaded warped the Maller out, Helen took an Interceptor, most of the others didn't bother. I ended up shipping most of the rest over to our POS and later onto Enaluri long after the others had binned it for the night. I do enjoy the challenge of looting and made off with the Osprey, Arbitrator, Corax, Talwar (unfitted), 2 Kestrels, Punisher and a Maulus.

Wednesday 10th February 2016

Started with a skirmish outside a plex in Akidagi. Two members of Exodus, who are normally one of the better pirate corps in the area, were trying to gank down individuals. They were in an Omen and Garmur. Greg215 in an Incursus commited to the fight first. I thought he would be down before the rest of us arrived and didn't think it was a good fight to take. viscora fed in flying a Firetail, then Dreaded in a Vexor NI, finally I arrived in a Caracal and we went for the Omen first which Greg had point on. The Omen went down relatively easy and then viscora got scram on the 400M Garmur and we finished it off. I was surprised to find I got top damage on both, 78% on the Garmur and was well pleased with myself. I suspect it was one pilot double boxing and he panicked and lost the Garmur while trying to get the Omen pod out.

Bit of a change to your normal author and already posted elsewhere, but I'll give this a go!

Put together a triple MASB + Rocket fit Stork yesterday. Perma runs MWD + tackle, so an orbit set at 7500m takes you out about 10k and you're clear of small neuts - obviously manual pilot to negate the targets movements.

Tanks like a boss, poor dps but once in range has good application.

Had links and crystals

Killed 3 ships without loss:

Shitfit Blackbird which tracking disrupted me lol
Cookie cutter shield Stabber that couldn't track me

And then a bit of an epic fight with a 10mn AB, dead-space booster Svipul. I had to pop a blue pill to tank him and he was able to somewhat dictate range whilst his scram was on me but I had a 2km window where my scram/Web and MWD stopped him disengaging. He forced a Thorax off the field who never returned and I was there for an age by myself, was able to handle his neut pressure but he did turn off my tackle a few times. A friendly Hookbill came in and kept him true with a long point and a bit more deeps. I had plenty of cap boosters and knew he'd be running out given the booster/neut set up he was running - was just a matter of time.

Could have solo'd but I knew the cruiser was already on the KM so had no probs with the hookbill being there, and tbh if he'd have had the forethought to neut me and then pull range he would have probably got out so having that extra point sealed the kill.

So the Stork - in my limited experience, it's alright!

Rather quiet day today, in corp and in space. There wasn't much to fight in Akidagi, and no-one felt like putting links up. Eventually some calmil showed up to plex, so we chased them around and were chased around by them for a bit. Major Trant entered a small complex in his Breacher – I don't remember now what he was after. At any rate, I warped over in my kiting cancer frigate to assist, and landed right behind a pirate Magus that was acc'ing gate.

We had run into this Magus pilot before, and we knew a few things about his fit. The key points:
- no MJFG
- brawl fit with faction scram and web
- seriously blingy

I knew what could happen if I landed on it at zero, but that Magus needed to die. I preheated my prop and dove into the plex after it. As my Garmur came out of warp I picked a direction at random, hit my prop, and click-spammed in space. A few seconds later I was scrammed and webbed, but it was too late: my ship was up to speed and coasted out of the Magus's sphere of death. Some tense moments followed as I tried to both keep my unheated point on without falling into web range, but I eventually found a safe orbit. Major wasn't so lucky. The Magus got a web on him, and his dual-rep Breacher evaporated. A friendly Burst came in and was likewise consumed.

Four long minutes later the calvary arrived in the form of our alliance-mate crimsonshank, in a Slicer. He wisely burnt off and killed the drones the Magus sent after him. Killer Rasta, another Bebop member, turned up a minute later in a Firetail, and we temp-blued a neutral Kestrel from local. Joseph Guillotine and avelution shipped into an Ishkur and Hookbill respectively, and Major – who may have been slightly rustled at this point – put together a Griffin to let us into brawling range.

Even with all of that on field we were barely breaking the Magus's tank. After fourteen minutes of fighting his friend came into the plex in a Comet, landing uncomfortably close to me. Fortunately it scurried off to range, and the Magus finally dropped a minute later. Our fast frigates burnt down the Comet while Major (of course it was Major) looted the Magus wreck. Most of the faction and deadspace mods dropped, so we split the value with everyone on the mail.

Definitely one of the most satisfying fights I've had in a while, not least because my new wine client didn't even stutter (seriously, **** the Mac client). Thanks to everyone who showed up to help, and good fight to the Magus pilot with the cojones to fly that piñata around o7

Hey! I don't know about you

Saturday 20th Feb 2016

After an afternoon happily camping and killing in Akidagi, I joined a T3 fleet being run by Wolfsdragoon. He had found a target in Amarr space that he felt would escalate into a cap fight. After a long and careful form up lasting over an hour, we made the first move about 6 jumps to sit on a lowsec to lowsec Wormhole. Another half an hour of waiting and the trap was sprung by a friendly carrier on the Chej gate in Noranim. Things did not go quite according to plan and the Carrier went down, but then we arrived and caught their caps still on field, namely 3 Dreads and a Carrier as well as a bunch of T3s and HICs.

Confusion clearly reined among the enemy. Initially they tried to fight, our dreads dropped and then they tried to save what they could by deagressing and jumping their subcaps out of system. We killed their Thanatos, 2 Naglfar's, a Moros, a Proteus and a Tengu.

We started looting when a Phobos that had warped off rather than jumping, warped back to gate and jumped through to Chej, it was caught on the other side and taken down. Just as we deaggressed and started jumping back to Noranim, their subcap fleet arrived behind us and jumped in.

Another quick punch up was had and we took down 3 Guards and 2 Proteus, before they deaggressed and jumped back to Chej again. Once again a Guard that had warped off, tried to return to gate and jump through us, only to be caught and killed in Chej.

We returned to Noranim, looted, killed a Magnet, our caps jumped out and we went home.

I was still buzzing so stayed on as did several other and we were rewarded with several more kills in the Akidagi area which included a Goons Rattlesnake.

Sunday 21st Feb 2016

Joined Bengal on the Ichoryia gate in Akidagi. Wartargets (WTs) were jitterish and we shipped up, myself to a Caracal and Bengal to a Thorax, expecting to fight a Ferox. It came to nothing, then a boosted pirate Augoror Navy Issue arrives and kills us both.

We return to gate in Svipuls and are rewarded when a WT Vexor jumps in and we gank it down from long point range. He set his drones onto me, but I was able to MWD ahead of them and avoid most of the damage. The Vexor popped with a 49%/51% split in the damage, Bengal just took top damage and the final blow.

Bengal logged and for a while I was on my own. I jumped my alt to his boosting clone and got him into a Claymore set up in Akidagi. I've avoided using him for boosting since I returned to the game, but too many low sec entities use boosting alts, that you need them to stay competitive. Assuming you want to do more than just gank people down.

I get Trant into a Breacher and started running the plexes in Akidagi, first a novice, then a large. A WT Shuttle warps in at range and lets me charge out and kill him. I half expect a gang to land on me as I reach the shuttle, but no local spike. A few minutes later a neutral Comet lands in the plex and I get point on him and start taking him down. He is AB fit and has no chance, but then a Succubus arrives along with 2 others and I have to let the Comet go. Eventually they warp off and I close the plex, 10500 odd LP for a defensive large plex at tier 3, nice.

I open a small plex and start running it. First a neutral Incursus comes in and I start kiting him. He can't reach me, but I'm struggling to kill him. I ask for help in corp chat but nobody responds. He kills one of my drone and I pull in the other. Eventually though his damage climbs and he pops, should have been a nice solo kill, but a rat did 0.9% damage. I scoop his drone to my drone bay.

Almost immediately a neutral Slicer comes in and another sec hit. Again a long drawn out fight during which he kills both my drones. He manages to slingshot his way out of my point a couple of times, but doesn't warp off. avelution in an Incursus warps in at the end at my request, but by the time he arrived the Slicer is in deep structure and my call for help only robs me of a solo kill.

An Algos comes in next, avelution had warped off by this time. I start kiting him then his friends arrive and I have to let him go. I warp out to repair and get replacement drones and then return to an empty plex. Another Incursus arrives and I kill it much like the first, this time the rat doesn't rob me of the solo kill.

A Tristan comes in and I start kiting him, his mate in another Tristan arrives. Both have MWD and long points. I'm firing missiles at the first while 10 Hobgoblins are chasing me around. I have to use my ASBs to control the damage, but at a slow rate that allows one to reload while the other is in use. The first Tristan is particularly fast and I can't apply the damage well enough. The second one is flopping around looking more inexperienced. Eventually, I switch point and DPS to the second Tristan and the first bales at that point. The second Tristan goes down and I loot it's wreak and recover the 10 abandoned Hobgoblins. During which the plex finishes, but as I don't immediately warp out it bugs and stays up for the next hour or more.

Joseph comes on line and joins fleet with me, avelution and my boosting alt. Another Slicer arrives outside the plex and I ask them to warp over and engage or push him in. avelution arrives first and gets point, I bounce to the POS, drop off loot, pick up some Cap booster charges and bounce back. By the time I arrive, several neutral frigates are on field, + a confessor, and a friendly Vagabond at range. I bounce back to the POS and reship into a Caracal, but when I land all the friendlies have baled and I'm lucky to get out. Returning to the POS I get back into my Breacher and warp back to the small at 10 so that I can activate and go inside the plex if conditions are not suitable.

It is all change again as around 15 ships are on field, a mix of friendlies, WTs and neutrals. It is a long ranging on/off skirmish for the next 20 minutes. At one point a WT Ferox is on field and I hold it for a long time, but a WT Caracal eventually drives me off and the Ferox warps out. We kill the Caracal, a Vexor, Tristan and Slicer, some other stuff goes down too. At the end I find myself alone on the field with just a neutral Hyena at range and another neutral Slicer also at range in the opposite direction.

I burn out to the Hyena knowing that I will get webbed, but thinking my DPS will be able to kill him. He gets webs on me and I start hitting him, but he tanks remarkably well. The Slicer burns over, points and starts ripping me a new one. I've screwed up bad and know I'm going down as both ASBs go into the reload cycle. Shield and armor disappear and still 30 seconds before the first ASB reload finishes. I switch fire to the Slicer more to wh*re on in case someone else finishes him off later. He burns away, loses point on me and I warp off with 8% structure remaining.

I return to the plex gate (outside), this time I'm alone on a field of wreaks and maybe 50 abandoned drones. I don't understand why so few people bother looting. Eventually I fetched my Svipul with a 430m cargohold and it still took 3 trips to remove around 100M isk worth of drones and loot.

I take a break, but return a couple of hours later and get into a Svipul to join the usual gate camp. It is a night of skirmishes and we get several small fights and ganks. I effectively solo gank a 3rd Slicer, getting 100% of the damage, but two others get on the killmail. We get mixed up with another 3 way against pirates and WTs and we take down a WT Ferox, during which I'm able to two shot a WT Griffin seconds after he decloaked.

I log on to find Dreaded online, but shortly Bengal joins us. A bit of admin is done and then Dreaded spots a player in Enuluri local in a Brutix Navy Issue. He asks me to get into an armor logi. Bengal's alt gets into a Scythe. After a bit of a runaround Dreaded engages the Brutix NI on the Hallanen gate in Enaluri, Dreaded is in a Magus, myself in a Deacon. Dreaded is taking gate guns as well as fire from the Brutix and it is a slight struggle to keep him up, although I don't have to resort to overheating the reppers. The Brutix NI suddenly pops to my surprise and only then do I realise that Bengal is also on field in a regular Brutix and has done most of the damage.

We move across to Akidagi. As things are a bit dead, Dreaded and I decide to run defensive plexes while waiting for things to liven up. The system is on about 35% contested and GalMil is on Tier 3 for LP payments. I close a large plex and earn over 12K LP, while mediums were granting around 9K LP.

Bengal in a c*ckbag Svipul, kills a neutral in a Comet on the Ichoriya gate. The neutral goes ballistic in local at Bengal, calling him gay among other things. A little later I move to a novice plex and find a Comet on short scan as I land on the gate. I'm in a Breacher, I report my findings and activate the gate. I crash through the warp in and get to range while applying point. Soon I'm in a steady orbit dropping missiles on him. He is AB fit and has no chance. It turns out it is the same pilot that Bengal had killed earlier. Bengal then arrives in a Rifter, which isn't really appropriate for a Comet, he gets in a bit of trouble but the Comet pops first with Bengal in deep structure. Then followed another tirad of abuse from the neutral in local.

Bengal goes off to rep. I continue running the plex. I sight two Comets on short scan and report, the first enters and it is a WT. I get tackle on and start taking him down. The second enters, also a WT. I consider baling, but both Dreaded and Bengal are on their way. Bengal arrives in a Tristan, with Dreaded in a Vigil Fleet Issue. I call primary on the one I'm already shooting, but the second shows himself as the more dangerous pilot and we switch fire to him while I hold the first Comet. Both go down without loss, a most satisfying win.

Bengal warps out while Dreaded and I are still looting. A Daredevil appears on short scan then enters. A known good pilot we had once flown with in the Minmatar militia, but he had joined Exodus (pirates) since and this wasn't the first time we had fought each other. Dreaded and I dither while still at range then cautiously approach, Bengal was reshipping into a Garmur. I dive in and get long point on, Dreaded follows and gets webs on, Bengal arrives and we take the Daredevil down surprisingly easy. A blingy AB drops, which Dreaded grabs and scurries off with.

There is now more loot in the plex than I can carry, I grab what I can and warp to the POS and dump it off, then return to get the rest. Outside the plex I find Bengal engaging a neutral Tristan, the same neutral that had already lost two Comets. I join the gank and pretty soon he is screaming abuse in local again.

Another round of plexes are shut down, then we get involved in a fight against a fast Vexor NI. He has a friend in something blingy of dessie size, can't remember what, possibly a Confessor, who keeps warping in and interferring. In short it is a difficult match up for us. I go off to ship up to a Caracal, but the fight breaks up before I can get back.

A Drake jumps into Akidagi from Ichoriya and warps to a medium plex. The Vexor NI sights it, warps over and engages. We have cloaky eyes watching and decide to warp in and help the Drake kill the Vexor NI, then kill the Drake. Bengal has shiped into a Thorax, with Dread in a Rook, I'm assigned the task of holding point on the Drake. We warp in and start engaging. The Vexor NI pulls range dragging Bengal and Dread with him, the Drake turns his fire onto me. I'm careless and drift into scram range of the Drake and suddenly find myself scrammed and webbed. For a moment it is looking very dodgy then Dread ECMs the Drake out and I pull range. A large friendly blob lands on the gate and the Drake vaporises.

The friendly gang is a real mixed bunch with T1/T2 Frigs and Dessie, some T3 dessies and a couple of Curses. Next a similar sized gang of Separatist (pirates) warp in, they are in a similar mixed setup but with more T2 and faction ships. I've just reloaded my rapid lights and target a Bifrost first, then a Tristan and next the CEO of Separatists in a Worm. All three go down with me getting top damage on each, but now I'm into a reload cycle. I bounce to the POS and return, which takes longer than it takes to reload and I immediately regret. I land back on field just as the last Separatist dies/warps off. I count 29 wreaks on field including 9 Elite ones and bookmark the plex. After clearing the field of loot, I close down the plex and go and fetch a salvaging ship. However, I mess up, the bookmark brings me back to where the inside of the plex had been. I can see the wreaks tantilisingly close on short scan, but there is no (reasonable) way to get to them.

...More plexes are shut down, the call goes out in Militia chat that a Deimos is tackled in Aldranette, 2 jumps away. I was in a Svipul at that point and race over. I land in time to put 3 salvos on it before it pops. It is the Daredevil pilot, he is having a bad night.

I return to Akidagi and reship back into my Breacher to run another Novice plex, but when I land I scan a Slicer inside. I activate the gate and go in. Now Slicers are a difficult match for a Breacher, they tend to be kity fits with higher DPS but limited or no reps. This one was so fitted and I pulled to extreme point range around 25 kms, but he was still hitting me very hard. First ASB was empty and the second was on continuous cycle. I switched to a close orbit guessing beams and it worked perfectly, he couldn't hit me anymore. He didn't seem to realise that I'd closed in on him and allowed me to maintain a 2 Km orbit even though I only had a long point. He should have easily been able to bounce to range, but instead he simply died. I was surprised later to find that he was my only solo kill of the night. Not that I'm complaining, it was an epic series of skirmishes.

Tuesday 24th Feb 2016

Started off the night with a round of the belts in Enaluri. Found two Clone Soldiers and killed both with a suitable pause between them so that I got both sec status bonus'. Although why I bother I don't know, because I'm now at -5.6 and the only way I'll get back over -5.0 is if I buy back the sec status with tags. I wouldn't mind but I did that very thing at the weekend, getting back to -4.6 using the cheap tags, but it had only lasted a couple of hours until Wolfsdragoons op. The biggest problem is that it is a 24 jump round trip to the nearest CONCORDE office. Otherwise I'd do it as the Clone Soldiers I'm killing in Enalura drop the very tags that I use to get between -8 and -4.5001 and I have around 25 of those tags in my hanger.

I note a WT in local, he has been there a while so I conclude he is running a plex. A Show Info tells me he is Amarr Militia rather than Caldari and he is a few years old. No ships on scan from the station, but a small plex up 30 AU out. I decided to get into my Breacher and go over.

Dread is online and in comms with me, we had been chatting but weren't in fleet as we were both doing different things, he bringing back a cloaky hauler from Jita. But he had recently completed that task and as I undocked I found his boosting alt on the undock setting up his Claymore ready for the night ahead. He offered to give me boosts and we get in fleet as I'm in warp.

I land and do a short scan. Dragoon! I enter with preheated MWD, hit the warp in and try to burn out. The WT is sat right at zero with Warrior IIs out and he gets Scram and Neuts on me. But I coast out of scram range and restart my MWD. The neutalizers however stay on as I start to move into my default orbit and I'm worried before realising they are doing nothing useful. IMO the change to neuts giving them falloff ranges is more of a nerf to them, causing cap issues with the host ship at ranges that have little or no effect on the target. Meanwhile I've got point on and activated my missiles, in time I drop my drones and set them on him too.

I settle at an orbit of about 20km and the neutralizers finally drop. He is AB fit and is so slow that my orbit barely fluctuates more than 2km. However his drones are hitting really hard. Dread offers to come over to help but I confidently tell him I'm OK. However, although I'm not in danger of dying I'm worried that I may be caught with both ASBs in the reload cycle and have to warp off. He kills one of my drones and I pull the other in. He switches to Acolyte IIs which are the better choice and which worries me some more. The first ASB goes into the reload cycle.

The Acolytes however don't seem to be anymore effective than the Warriors. The first ASB finishes reloading with 1 charge still in the second and by then he is in deep armor. There are no worries after that and in short order he pops and gets his pod out with a polite GF in local. I scoop the Acolytes and loot but can't get it all in, leaving at least four T2 drones in the wreak. I warp back to station intending to return for the rest, but he had closed the plex before I arrived and it despawned by the time I undocked again. Those poor drones!

Dread was planning on bashing a Duckling POCO in Akidagi, I'd been trying to talk him out of it but he wasn't budging. However, very few people had logged on and it was looking doubtful. So initially we moved across to Akidagi, got set up and started running plexes. By got set up I mean we got two Boosting Command ships onto the POS. Mine in a Vulture to give Siege and Information Warfare boosts and Dreads in a Claymore, the plan had been for Dread's alt to be in an Astartes but he was in the wrong Clone and we decided we didn't need Armor links.

I was running a Novice in my Breacher when a Tristan arrived on short scan. I announced on comms to the fleet which now included avelution, viscora and Joseph. A Navitas arrived on short scan, then the Tristan entered. I get tackle on and easily settled into a 20 Km orbit, the Tristan was clearly AB fit and had no chance. I tell the guys to warp over and kill the Navitas on the outside, but as soon as they land, the Navitas activated and came in. I switched fire to the Navitas and called it as primary, but kept my tackle and orbit on the Tristan.

If I had been left on my own, I expect to have at worse driven off the Navitas and then killed the Tristan easily. But the guys piled in and it was a comedy of errors. First avelution arrived in a Slicer and got caught on the warp in by the Tristan. Then he panicked, didn't follow primary and only shot at the Tristan, which had no effect because the Navitas was repping him. Next came Joseph in a Garmur, he got off the warpin and helped to take down the Navitas, but then inexplicably got tackled by the Tristan after avelution died. Dreaded arrived in a Vigil Fleet Issue and was effective, but unnecessarily blingly. Finally viscora arrived in a Tristan. After that we finished off the enemy Tristan in time to save Joseph's Garmur. But the engagement was not a good advert for CTRL-Q, some basic training lessons are incoming guys. No the Tristan wasn't a good pilot and the fit particularly for the Navitas was awful.

So we started the POCO bash in Polarized Hecates. There were only 5 of us, but it's shields fell reasonably fast.

Meanwhile back at the POS, a Nemesis SB decloaked and lit a cyno right alongside my alt and a bunch of Separatists black ops jumped in and tried to gank the Vulture down. They got webs, scrams, TPs, ECM and damps on him but only shot off 1/3rd of his shield before he crawled under the POS bubble. The POS killed the cyno Nemesis and the rest of them abandoned their drones and ran.

We had abandoned the POCO bash during this excitment, but shortly returned and drove it to reinforced mode. Later we ganked down a Comet with Svipuls, but dull end to the night.

Realised this thread was being neglected, so an update for any regular readers out there (if there are any!)

W/C 9th May 2016.

First off; a civil war has kicked off in Galmil, info and bickering can be found: Here

Good fun so far this week, mostly been jumping into alliance fleets as every-time I'm logging in, one is running.

Monday saw me log in, I jumped into our TS channel but noones around, within a few mins Yam jumps in and asks if I want to fleet up - it's a grab-bag shield cruiser gang, a few AHACS, recons, Gilas and a bit of logi. I'm playing catch up so just grab an anti tackle Cerb, not particularity tanky but rigged to drop >11k m/s missiles which should be good hit most frigs. I'm paranoid that's it's a bit of a weird fit, crossing my fingers I don't lose it for the inevitable 'WTF is this??' KM links in local!

Roamed around a bit, bagged a few ganks but couldn't find a reasonable fleet to take on. On the way home, jumping into Vlill we hear on comms '**** me, there's a solo Vargur off the gate......point!'. We all jump in. Looks like he's within or close, but agressed and is in bastion mode. We quickly bump him away, in the process we lose a few ships but things stabilise and it's just a question of time......then a second Vargur lands! Rinse/Repeat, second one is also off gate and now in bastion. I'm keeping my damage on the first but i didn't mark when he started his cycle so I'm spamming my point furiously as he's bleeding into armour....and then the inevitable local spike, it's SWEG, they're here to get in on the action and try to take us all down. Too many in there fleet for us to consider staying so we prepare to bail, they land on grid, we warp off and leave them to it.......but I realise I haven't tagged the second one, so being the KB whore I am, warp back at range to tag it - watch the first one pop and the fleet move onto the second. I guess they must have been asleep or not aware that he can MJD whilst coming out of cycle.....so Vargur number 2 makes a quick exit...Boo! first one posted for 2.2 bil though so I'm happy.

Tuesday, and I take care of a bit of admin. GUIYNAN is on and forming a AF/Svipul fleet. As we're waiting for numbers I spot an Apoc in Akidagi and call in ze blob. We land on grid to see a lone Eve Uni guy has him pointed in his Enyo, what a hero, no way we're shooting him. Pop the Apoc, Enyo has top damage! We throw a bit of isk his way to say thank you and as a bit of compensation. The Apoc......not a go-to ship for soloing in low-sec! We slope back to station, forming the fleet...and I again spot a BS in Aki, well this time two, and it's Scorp Navies running a mission. It just so happens we've got a very decent prober in corp, within a minute or two we have them and a warp in ready. For some reason I've been tricked into flying logi for the fleet and I stick in it, tackle warps in and gets them both. They pop, pods too - we're covering any fleet losses for the rest of the evening from the loot. We eventually get set up and head out, get into a few scraps, kill a Aug navy fleet thats got Aug support and have a bail from a 3 way fight as our reps arn't holding (i'd shipped to a Scimi at some point) good night though. I lose a VFI to a solo, dual webbed Comet a bit later - realised too late I wasn't scrammed, well played fella.

When I said tbc above, there was a bunch of stuff that happened last week...but I've forgotten most of it!

So far this week we've been skirmishing close to home, been a bit quiet but managed to bag 23 kills for 0 losses for me with some blingy kills mostly courtesy of our neighbours SWEG. I guess we've killed about 2bil and lost less than 100mil to them in two days - all of the loot we scoop goes into corp logi and other projects.

TBH it's the kind of play I like, nice and casual, just working together with a few guys in close proximity and setting up fights. Everyone gets into the swing of things quite easily, we've some new recruits that have slotted in nicely.

Our home system suddenly got pushed by the Caldari over the weekend, was up to 85% contested at one point but as I speak we've managed to get that below 40% with some help from friends. Try again Calmil, maybe fight?

Not many exceptional fights to talk about, I've been flying around in my FOTM the Heretic. A bit more subtle than a Garmur, slower with about the same DPS, but a much better tank thanks to it's resist bonus and also nice damage application. I'll happily go after most things with it and you don't see many in low sec so they're a bit of a curiosity I guess?! Not sure, but Garmurs and other fast tackle come for me quite often in it, I feint trying to burn away from them and let my armour drop before burning heated straight at them and turning my reps on - seems to do the job! I nearly always burn out my prop mod though, such a bad. Taking on Confessors in them is a nice challenge.

So yeah, if you too want to not die in a interdictor in low sec or fancy hearing what I've got to say on a Friday night after the pub, drop an application today!

Wednesday 25th May 2016

Haven't logged in for a couple of days as I've been travelling but I get home a bit earlier than usual and I see a ping for an Enulari defense fleet.....oh crap, that's where we live!

Jump in comms and log in to see contestion is high in the 70s, but militia has all the plex's covered. I decide to start refitting our plexing comps in case there's an actual push, but there's no evidence of an actual Calmil presence. SWEG are there though and pestering the plexing effort.

Hear a shout on comms that there's a Garmur outside a medium and we've a Dramiel engaging it. I jump in the first ship I find to hand that I think might be able to burn it down, a Firetail.

Everyone else is landing on the plex as I do; we've a Dram, Firetail and Breacher against the Garmur and two Slicers. The two pirate frigs have pulled way off the gate....and I realise I've picked up an AB fit (oops), doesn't really matter as they have links and we don't, I'm right on top of the Slicers and immediately get one scramed/webbed, it's the only thing thats tackled so I'm a bit rude and start calling it as primary in someone else's fleet (the Breacher is with me and we've nothing else tackled). As the slicer goes down I'm asking for someone to get point on the second one, he's 15km from us but no one calls point and I'm a bit frustrated and they bail. 1 Slicer down, 0 lost.

I head back to fitting ships and log in my plexing alt run down timers. Corpmates are logging in and we start taking over running all the plex's in system. Not much is happening, there's no Calmil and SWEG are undocking pirate battleships so we ignore them for a bit. Notice one of their booster alts is in local and have a Loki on d-scan. I go to a large in a Malediction, moments later a Garmur appears, I start working to distract him whilst Viscora is positioning his prober. I still haven't brought in links, the Garmur is faster than me, but missiles don't apply well to my ship (nor will mine to his) but I let him burn into point range and start shooting me, Viscora drops probes and gets the Loki on the first pass. Everyone in fleet warps to it, I linger until point is called and slingshot out of the Garmurs point to warp out and join the gank. 700mil Loki down.

All the plex's have been run so we jump into Akidagi and try to stir things up. There's a gatecamp on the Icho gate, bunch of crusiers and recons with a cloaked falcon, about 8 of them. I land on grid, still in my Malediction, they're neutral but a couple still have suspect timers from their last gank. There's a Confesser close to one of my gate tacs and outside sentry gun range, I warp to it .......and all of them bail!

As I'm laughing we get a shout on comms that an alliance mate has probed down a second SWEG booster in Enaluri, he gets it tackled and calls us in, this time it's a Tengu. We land and start killing it but the pilot ejects his pod and warps off! Free Tengu! As we're deciding who's going to ship it back to station a lone Nomen lands at the safe, don't know why but we gank that as well and thank the locals for the 600mil they just donated.

10 mins later we see a third SWEG booster heading into Aivonen, it heads to station to boost, I jump into a Magus to try and make it a hatrick for the night. But en route we see two Confessers and a Thalia, they head over to Pav and head to a meduim plex. I'm first in, the rest of the guys are catching up, I don't really know what they're in but go for it anyway. They're outside the plex, I burn straight for the Thaiia. Get tackle on and apply my neuts, I'm relying on the other guys to tackle the two TD3s, which they do. We've got a Magus, Svipul, Frietail and Crucifier NI. We kill their logi and one fesser without loss, the second one gets away.

We head back to Aki and I spy a Gila running a mission, we prove him out but think the games up as he warps out. I warp down to the Icho gate just to get eyes on and he lands at 100km! I start burning him down but he warps to an overview on grid 16k km away. As I'm asking for probes he warps off to a cluster of celestial, I take a chance and go for the Customs Office in that direction at 0.....we land together, grab tackle and call the guys in - easy, but disappointing it was a cheap T2 fit!

End the night 12 kills for 0 loses

Corp took 1.6 bil from SWEG in either kills or stolen ships and only lost a Firetail!

Wednesday 1st June 2016

Logged in at the same time as a couple of corpmates, we’re just getting set up for an evening of skirmishing around Aki but it’s been quiet. A wartarget Bustard had jumped into us via the high sec entry, we assumed bait but tackled it anyway however it was too tanky to take down before slowboating back to the gate and jumping to safety, that was all that had really happened until Yamcha7 jumped into our TS channel to say they were forming for a gang.

We dropped fleet and moved TS channels to find Julius Foederatus forming armour BCs and logi to take on a Shadow Cartel Ferox fleet that had been spied in our area. Took us a few minutes to get enough logi together, but we headed out in search of a fight. Managed to catch up with the Ferox’s in Pavanakka but en-route passed half a dozen SC pods, someone had got there first. A Pandemic Horde Vexor Navy Issue fleet with the support of Waffles Svipuls had engaged them. We warped in to our optimals to 3rd party, SC had left so we went to work on the VNI gang – their ECM mids not enough to save them from our DPS or effect our logi. We took down a handful of VNIs and Augs before they bailed to station and docked up, we didn’t linger for them to form a hard counter.

We headed off on a bit of a roam with a mind to look for the remaining Ferox fleet, our scouts managed to catch up with some stragglers around Muetralle and held them for the main fleet to take care of.

On the way back, via Old Man Star a Retriever was spotted belt mining….in OMS! Times have changed! We warped the entire fleet atop of him and gave a traditional welcome to low-sec ganking. As we’re getting ready to leave, scouts spot a large Overload This Legion gang jumping into system. We pursued, even though they should be able to wreck us without loss, maybe our aggressive move put them off and they ran, but not before we tackled one of their neuting configs. Again, they could have turned around and totally wiped us out to save their fleet member, no idea why they didn’t want to take us on but they bailed leaving their mate to his fate. Maybe because we’d laugh at their 100mn AB legion fits. Dunno.

We headed back home, I dropped fleet and was just passing by Aki when I noticed about 14 OSS guys in local. I checked my scanning spots, nothing. I know I’m covering the whole system, jump back on comms to tell the disbanding fleet there’s a BLOPS gang in Aki, which I confirm when a Panther de-cloaks long enough to capture on d-scan. We start plotting and scouring systems for their hunter with our scout, but we have no idea who that may be so we try to spread out across the systems within jump range and send out a bait Raven. The BLOPS gang jump, but not to our bait. We’ve no idea where they’ve gone but as this is being discussed, two shouts occur almost at once – No Handlebars are undocking Carriers and our bait Raven is tackled…..

They jump in 4 carriers, two Archons a Niddy and a Thanny – some of which were part of the same gang that took down one of our solo carriers a couple of days before. We’re ready and jump into system right on top of them, unfortunately they’re right on gate but we manage to bump two away, we have little in the way of tackle beside our Raven, who goes down just as our battleships confirm points and a solo triage jumps in. An Archon and Thanny manage to escape through the gate, we’re all aggressed and let them go to concentrate on the two remaining Carriers. Looks to me as if one or more of them is dual boxing. Trade a Raven for two Capships, both with dodgy fits.

End the night with 13 kills for 0 losses, worth in all about 6.5bil – not a bad start to the month!

Thursday 2nd June 2016

Log in for a GVMA run Confessor fleet, I had a few spare hulls so fit one up to comp and join them. We’ve got Deacon support and a Command Dessy, usual scouts and a few guys out of comp entirely. We roam around a bit and end up in Rakapas, get a few ganks in and flirt around a station that has two carriers hugging it, they undock their links in the form of a Claymore, our Command Dessy jumps it off and we gank it whilst taking fire from the carriers that have now been joined by a third. Two are trying to shoot me for some time with their fighters but I can see I’m getting repped so stay on field watching my armour swing from near zero to full and back again as each party cycles their damage/reps. A couple of other fessors go down, but so does the Claymore and we start shooting the fighters until they’re recalled.

We head back to Nenna to take a break and reship, as I’m landing on station there’s an Amarr Militia Caracal trying to dock, we hold it so I know he can’t. Just as I’m locking he warps to a celestial, I follow and land right on him, grab tackle and call the active guys back in. We catch a second Amarr Cara seconds later, trying to do the same thing.
We pick up our roaming again and bump into a Waffles frig fleet, Punishers and Inquisitors. They have the greater numbers but would be foolish to take us on, they don’t but their logi is slow and we pop a couple of them on the Pava gate in Aivonen. We carry on down the pipe and get some intel on a solo Tempest roaming back towards Akidagi, he’s caught and we easily relive him of the hassle of having to warp across Nenna in a BS.

Scouts then spot a Proteus belonging to The Initiative parked in a large plex in Aldranette and swiftly tackle it. We jump in and hit warp, expecting a trap, but it’s a poor one. As the Prot goes down a Myrmidon lands and we see another 4 on scan. We’re expecting a clever RR set up, it’s not. The first Myrm pops easily as his mates are landing and we quickly clear the field of them. Jumping back into Nenna we again bump into the Waffles Punisher fleet, this time they try to fight us but we wreck them easily and they lose a good portion of their fleet. That about wraps up that roam nicely and we disband the fleet.

I hang on as I’ve spied a gatecamp I’d like to bust, so Julius starts to form us up but the camp runs at the slightest sign of a challenge and flees back to high-sec.

We jump into armour cruisers and BCs, I’m asked to bring a Magus which is much more my thing rather than a mainline DPS ship. We get into a few fights, first with Calmil Feroxs that doesn’t go well for us, I lose a Magus but jump into another and then No Handlebars show up. They’ve got around 10 Mallers and 5 Augs to our 6ish DPS ships, mainly Navy Augs and two Guards with a Lachesis and me in a Magus supporting along with our tackle. As the fight kicks off I get a good jump on one of the Augs, the Lach of BFish spotting this and damping him out of the fight. We take them apart easily; they complain about our Guards, we question their Aug fits.

Scouts inform us that the Calmil guys we fought earlier are in Hik so we jump into Nenna for a rematch. I’d just taken out their scout as it had warped to us at 100 off a gate we were sitting on, so I jumped half the fleet atop of him. In the last fight I missed a jump on their logi by a fraction and they were ready for me on my next run once the timer on my MJFG was up, I was scrammed outside of friendly logi range. This time we were a bit better prepared, our links were up and they were jumping into us. I sat on a tactical below the Hik gate, they were still in Feroxs/Drake and Caracals with Basilisks as logi, and we had gained another Guard. I watched the fight kick off and waited for their Logi to decloak, they’d called a primary so I bounced down to the gate and jumped off an isolated Basi, took a couple of our fleet with me but that was the logi cap chain down and an easy gank for the three of us on the logi.

The rest of the fleet started cleaning up; I pushed off the tackle that had come out to us. Then from nowhere a mixed DARKNESS. fleet of Cerbs and Canes warped in and joined the fight, I sat at range waiting out my timer looking to pick off tackle when a Minokawa warps to gate to support the Cerbs…what?! It just so happened that on the Hik side, Bacardi was in his HIC tackling fleeing Ferox’s and pushing back to us. The Fax picked up aggro and entered triage, Bacardi jumped through to tackle, the guards stayed on field to keep Bacardi alive whilst the rest of us burned two jumps to bring the neuting battleships we needed to break its cap and BFish a second HIC. The Guards did an awesome job keeping Bacardi alive until the enemy fleet de-aggressed……..but then realised HIC tackled Caps can’t jump through gates! By this time we were landing with assorted Bhaalgorns, Geddons, and Megas. I’d grabbed a Tempest Fleet Issue. We applied neuts to the Minokawa and started to clear everything else in range, most were by now well away from the fight and couldn’t do anything but watch as we turned our guns on their capped out FAX and it melted.

Sunday 24th July 2016

After a four month break from the game I come back to find myself pitchforked into a lively night of action. I find Dreaded Vengance, S5family and viscora from the directors and half a dozen other members active at different points in the night. Initially they are involved with an alliance roam, which I listen in to as I'm sorting my stuff out and getting used to the game again.

Akidagi itself has been flipped to the Caldari which I didn't realise until I entered one of the plexes and the NPC started shooting me. We now have a Citadel in the system which is the first one I've seen in game and is quite a joy to use. I find the ships I'd left stored in the POS SMA still intact and waiting for me. Some had been moved to the Citadel, but the main point being that nobody had robbed them which I think says a lot for the Corps.

With the organised roam over I join the guys for some light skimishing in Akidagi and Aivonen. First 4 of us gank down a pair of neutral Incursus outside a plex gate, followed by a blingy WT Jackdaw which drops 176M of faction mods. A couple of neutral Dragoons follow, but as they are on a system gate, we have to take turns shooting and bouncing to shake off the gate guns before we can finish them off.

Three of us then catch a neutral kity Exequror in a medium plex in Aivonen. I'm in a Breacher and the other two are both in Comets. We kill his drones, but cannot break his active armor tank. He is known to the other guys and has a booster alt in system. One of the guys goes off to reship, but while he is gone the other Comet is caught and killed, leaving myself alone to hold the Exequror. At a range of 15Km he gets webs on me, but I manage to pull out to range again. However, I'm having to run my MWD permanently to keep range and I'm suffering cap issues. Eventually my point drops momentarily and he is out.

Not long after I see the same pilot now in a Deimos enter a medium plex in Akidagi to engage a neutral Gila. Myself and another pile in and assist in the killing of the 493M Gila, then tackle the Deimos, but all does not go well and I lose my Breacher due to another long range web and scram which I cannot pull away from.

I reship into a Caracal, but he is gone when I get back. So I run the plex and net 43K LP, enough for 4 Comets or a Vexor NI (almost).

I reship into another Breacher and experience the highlight of the night. This should have been the soloing of a Tristan. However, I'm not confident enough having just returned to the game and call in the calvalry. Two friendly Comets arrive and both wh*re on with 0 damage just as I finish him.

I wrap up for the night, but don't actually close down the game or TS. 3 hours later I hear voices coming from the headset and I jump back on. A fight is kicking off in a large plex in Akidagi between a mixed bunch of GalMil and an organised gang of 11+ CalMil from CALSF. I jumped into a Caracal and join the fight. It is just ending when I arrive with the CalMil being driven off, but I help take down another Jackdaw. Shortly the same team come back having way overshipped. This time they have 4 Tengu, a Vargur, Naga, Cerberus, Omen NI, Cynabal, reps and tackle. In their (CALSF) defense I would point out that GalMil had a Raven and Curse on field, but they were just a random pair that turned up and weren't in commes with the CTRL-Q guys. As I said in earlier posts, such people are a pain in the ass, forcing the enemy to overship, but not able to apply their full potential due to the lack of organisation or comms. The real problem is that they suck other pilots in, trying to stop the enemy pulling off an easy gank. Well this time I baled early when local spiked, but it looks like both the Raven and Curse went down.

Ended the night 8 kills (930M) for 1 Breacher loss (12M)
