I hope a lot of new people joins the "battle". Making 3rd party software for eve can be very rewarding.
I would not recommend people who already maintain a program to put more on their plate, though Lol

Oh yea definitely rewarding!

It's rewarded me, it's helped shaped me career wise Lol.

The sandbox environment gives us the opportunity to make tools that can be used in game, it's satisfying. It gives a drive as people instantly use your stuff!

It all basically linked learning with fun, which is important. You can't just make something because you want to learn how to do something.. you need a reason. 8 years later i've graduated from uni and been working for an awesome company for the past 4 years as a full stack Javascript developer. I did start off with PHP, it's good starting pointSmile.

Eve is real, it gave me the drive haha.

I couldn't agree more, learning by doing...

When I started jEveAssets, I had no clue what an epic journey I was starting.
I have learn so much. But, the interaction with the user, is my favorite thing.
It's a great feeling when people find something you made useful.

Users will keep you busy, though. They just can't stop coming up with great new ideas, it seems Lol
