I find it remarkable how many players act "better than" high sec MERCs.

If you consider that the average high-sec MERC Corp plays in the most populated area of the game, declares wars against hundreds of entities (at the same time, typically including all of the major null alliances) and through war assistance are almost always at war with each other, I'm trying to imagine what this higher state of pvp looks like.

Can flipping was a higher state, but it's dead. Low can be good, but really isn't "higher". Null is a manic-depressive care bear land.

High sec MERC is the highest current level of Eve pvp.

How sad.

It might even be a compelling argument, if the 'facts' told the whole story.

Jay,
I'm pretty sure you remember me from back when your alt was involved with the drake project. I would have said we were on good terms... There is a write-up in your blog from when we met.

You were in CEVL and you know high sec warfare.

I loved flipping and I like high sec warfare... But the point of the post was to remark that 70% of everything that happens in Eve happens in high sec. The unchallenged winners of highsec aren't there through the ineptitude of which they're routinely accused.

It is unfair of me to claim there is less skill in null or low, but it is definitely a different brand of skill. More fleet stuff and less small team tactics and maneuver mechanics.

Yes, I've gotten my clock cleaned both places, but I remain of the opinion that high sec warfare is the most sophisticated pvp in Eve.

It's only an opinion.

And yes, I still look fondly on the time I got to help the drake project crush a highsec wardec Corp. it is definitely one of my top 10 eve experiences.

You fail to understand what i mean. when i say bottom of the ladder pvp, I'm stating that sitting on a station hub, insta killing frigs and pods, playing suspect station games is effortless and not pvp. when you get to use a lame broken mechanic like the docking timer (giving anyone who gets the better of you <60 seconds to kill your 300K EHP ship before you're safe again) is really PvPvDockTimer and not to be confused with PVP.

And the majority of this alliance only wants to do that low lvl of pvpvdt, and are asking for paid work there not interested in to fund wars they wont fight unless they get lucky and someone happens upon dodixie. Don't take my word for it look up Archetypes KB for yourself, on Zkill look at top systems and top locations this month then compare that to real MERC KB's.
Notice anything? and would you pay them any isk to sit in1 spot?

so if you pay attention you will see I'm not saying MERCs are bad at eve. just that Archetype are not real mercenaries they are simply pretending to be for isk to get them more kills on the dodixie station.

Also thank you for the donations keep them coming. Big smile

Real mercs don't play games but since this is a game we mercs do whatever we want for a price.

We take contracts and fulfill them.
We actually fight and engage pirat, marmite, and any other susposivive pvp alliance that assists or declares war on us.

Hire Archetype we do wardecs, hit pocos, hit pos, soon destroy citidals. Hit up loreth, Shelick, Enzee, or Zero Threat

10% referral program is in effect. You bring us a contract, I will pay you 10 percent the contract. Contact me in game for more details, and join ATYPE MERC for your War Deck needs.

I must say, I'm impressed with the thread. It has morphed into quite the forum posting. With all the trash talk that goes on, I do my best to avoid it. With that said, my alliance does quite a good job of completing contracts. We get "trash talked" for having most our kills in Dodi... well, so what? We live in Dodi/Uedama (pending the day). We roam plenty, and have billions of isk in kills 10+ jumps from Dodi any given week. Most of the haters I find are on the receiving end of a wardeck, so I usually remove myself from the troll reply's.

ATYPE is doing quite well, and we will be happy to keep fulfilling contracts.

Well put, Mo.
I guess you could say PvP done well is good in any space. There's just too much of it done badly in highsec these days. I'd love to have a decent debate about this, but I don't want to add value to this thread - no offence Archetype.

Hire Archetype we are half the size of marmite as still deliver better on our contracts then tora, we continue to dominate and control dodixie while continuing to down pocos, pos, assist in wardecs, and declare war on whomever you wish. We at Archetype believe in quality of work, not quantity of noobs in alliance like our competition.

Hire Archetype, for we get the job done right the 1st time.

I would like to wish all of you people from Archetype, my future adversaries, the best of luck in your impending wardec against myself, which begins this evening.

I will try to get my terms for your surrender drafted and sent in before the war begins.

Good day.

Make sure you soap your bum Tyler, from the looks of your KB, you're gonna need it.

Lastly, taking more contracts. We have moved back to Uedama, and business is good. Referral program still in effect. Any questions please join our merc chan of ATYPE MERC.

KB? Not even sure what your talking about, never registered a KB. On the other matter, rest assured, I clean my bum with water AND soap every Friday evening whether it needs it or not. Not quite sure what my personal hygiene has to do with anything, but I appreciate your concern.

If you want to cause REAL damage to their customer base tell the good people of HiSec who is paying them on a retainer. ( radiation from that atom bomb has long term fall-out amongst the care-bear community) Use this Weapon of Mass Destruction wisely, it may destroy the Alliance. Evil

Personally I would not use this WMD, because I am sure the good men of Arch will come to their senses and stop supping from the Devils cup. (Sue's last alliance learnt this the hard way.) IdeaArrowPirate
