Lasers are great. They suck compared to rails because rails are OP. Lasers are great compared to projectiles or blasters.

Railguns cost less powergrid and less capacitor, they have higher range and deal very nearly beam laser DPS. They should have their damage cut by 10% to be more in line with other turrets.

So I understand that more data is needed before faction missile application mods are needed but there is no reason for them not to have a remote variant particularly since they can be remotely dissrupted
