So for those of you who have not yet seen or posted in the thread over in GD, what's the general consensus from the denizen's of the C&P community regarding the proposed watchlist changes?

If locator agents will tell you if the pilot is online or not then I'm completely okay with it.

If not it'll completely break the ability to hunt wartargets.

Lol I said this too ;-) . Also do locates really need a cd? Perhaps a CD on the same character. Auusming you need them to tell if somebody is online

Locator agents will need some sort of buff I would think so players actually can figure out if their opponents are logged in somehow but otherwise it affects both sides. Attackers won't at a glance get to see which targets are online, but it removes probably the simplest, no-effort technique to operate while under a wardec which is just wait until your opponent is offline by watchlist. Defenders will have to be much more vigilant and will be more at-risk to logon traps.

The latter might mean even less try to do so and stay docked up. Hard to say what it will do to highsec balance, probably not much in the end.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

I can't wait to see what changes they make to locator agents to compensate.

You know, the ones they will have already figured out ready for implementation when the watch-list nerf kicks in?

Yeah, those ones.

Can't wait.

Really excited.

Why should they compensate.

Judging by the obvious use of the word griefer, and the rapid posting to try and bait somebody into responding to you. I'mma go ahead and call it that you are just trolling,

But Pro-Tip: that's how balancing works. Although Watchlist are hella OP for nullsec. They are generally fair and balanced in Highsec, a blanket nerf is not the answer.

Maybe removing how watchlist work now is this so called balance. Also it said online status wont work if both sides have watchlisted each other... CCP should have data about how many people use it during wardecks(both sides).

Then again the so called "Observatory arrays" may be part of this balance also but thats future.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that the online status would still work but only if both parties had each other watchlisted.

Use three locate agents.
1st to determine where they are at; fly there. On the way toss up a second to confirm they are or are not active. When you land there and target isnt there use the third to confirm they are still in system.

Now, sit and wait.
