Exploration T1 and T2 cruisers?

Hey!

Idk if it is costumary to propose a full setup for a proposed module or ship when throwing ideas on the table here, but in any case i'll refrain from doing it here, simply because idk how they should look, and i dont wanna move into a turf where I have no business.

Anywho, idea is: give us some cruisers in T1 and T2 editions with scanner bonusses?

simple as that - i know its possible with T3 ships, but considering those are like 2½-3 months from scratch -> a min. fit, the spunk sorta leaves the barrels b4 your in em - add a cruiser set which is set for explorations?

Here's the thing. Yes, it might be kinda nice, but it's not really needed. Scanning has as much to do with RL experience as SP. You can probe 99% of stuff just fine in a ship with no bonuses at all, you just need practice. Another set of cruisers with exploration bonuses would either (depending on their fitting capabilities) never be used or would obsolete everything else.

The bottom line is that it might be cool, but it isn't actually needed at all.

True, you can probe anything in unbonused ship too, and even without high character skill.

We have already cloaky cruisers and another set of them with scanning bonus isn't needed.

This suggest a new breed of ships that doesnt stomp on the recon's role and has a reason to go out and explore.

How about use the T1 frigates that get a really nice bonus to probing already. If you don't want to swap ship, get an alt in the frig that can probe stuff down, it takes about a week to train a character up that can find most cosmic sigs without issue.
