"Latest news" box too large

Not sure what exactly changed but starting today the "Latest news" box has become huge:

Would it be possible to shrink it a bit so that I can actually see all of my accounts without having one giant window for the launcher?

We have only just introduced the news into the New Launcher today. During this addition, we increased the default size of the launcher, while still maintaining the minimum size.

I understand and empathise with you and others who have as many accounts(or more) as you, and we are aware that you feel the effects of this change more than the average user. Rest assured that we do hear your feedback and are continuously working on improvements that are aimed at improving our players quality of life.

Does it need to be that big though? I don't have a problem with a news section existing, but could it be say half the height it is currently i.e. two news stories high? It's fairly rare for more than two news items to be posted every day, and if there are more (and people actually want to use this to browse them rather than the website) the scroll function is always there.

Seriously, I have to change the Launcher to roughly 900x800 pixels just so that I can launch any of my accounts without scrolling. This is bad UI design, please consider shrinking that box to two news items.

Improvement would be status messages shown directly in the launcher together with maybe latest dev blog (just the title and date on the same line). For more news it should be collapsible item just like feedback and bug report
