Tracking cam with new orbit camera

First off let me say thanks

The new toggle for tracking cam in the new cam options was much needed.

How can I set custom focus position for this feature?

Currently when I select something to track, the cam whips around violently centers on the target after passing it once, then pans to the right until my ship is off the screen and finally, zooms in.

I use tracking cam for situational awareness. I'm guessing you can tell that the above completely screws with that.


I'm guessing there are settings I'm missing?

Sadly I think its working as intended ... though hopefully they will see its a horrible mistake and make it so you can pick a custom tracking position JUST LIKE THE SYSTEM WE CURRENTLY HAVE THAT WASNT FRIGGEN BROKEN.

Unfortunately youre not. Its something most people are asking for but ccp have not confirmed if theyre going to do it. Hopefully they do because I'd like my ship to stop hiding behind my fleet and chat windows.

Ccp, if not, the. What was the point in all the eye candy over this last year?

New shaders, new models and skins, new engine effects and new damage effects, only to have your ship hidden on your screen by terrible cam pan and zoom

Fozzy? Your an old school solo pvper. You know damn well solo pvp is impossible with the new cam. Back us up brother
