New mirror for Singularity - 2016-02-17

After a lot of confusion and back and forth: A new mirror is being applied to Singularity in the next hour. I'll update this thread as soon as it is done with details.

Some words on /copyskills - we (Habakuk, DeNormalized and I) are currently investigating ways to re-enable this command. We have a few notions, such as placing the command on a 30 day cooldown when used, but are also investigating if we can tie it in to extractor use (e.g. if you have used extractors you can't use copyskills for X days/weeks/whatever). It will still be disabled when the server comes back up, however.

is this mirror few weeks temporary untill the new one? woth to attempt to produce supercarrier or titan in this mirror? any guarantee that we wont get mirrored within month pls

The combination of /copyships and injectors makes any change you do for this problem useless. Not to mention the infinite proliferation of every kind of officer, deadspace and faction module, where the only limit is the 24 hour cooldown.

It is base eve functionality now - this way people can easier check what ship should be goal, and in what skills they need to inject skills on main server.

As always, we mirror to fit our needs, and will not offer any guarantees as to timings of mirrors, as we would just have to break them in the event that something comes up. There is no mirror planned beyond this one, but the server move (ETA pending still) will result in a different DB being used so progress on this mirror would be lost, yes.

I would much prefer to gate extractors behind the store, so that we get free testing on PLEX redemption, AUR purchasing, etc. This is great for us. If they were to go to the market as seeded items, we lose that value.

So this 'temporary' mirror will only last until the server move happens?
Planning on testing out building Supercapitals- would it last long enough to test that out?

Putting Skill Injectors on the EVE Store would entice people to completely buy out PLEX and AUR tokens from the market (It's against the rules and punishable by banning, but a Lot of people don't know that sadly..)

On the topic of rule breakers, the rule beacons should be placed at the Sun in 6-C. I've had to report around 5-6 people in the past week alone for engaging me on the station =/

We're working with Ops to get an answer on that, but even with an answer we wouldn't offer a promise, as timelines may change as fits Ops very busy schedule with the TQ move. It will likely persist until mid-March though, off the top of my head.

Injectors will not be on the AUR store - they will only be attainable through skill extraction. It's extractors that will be on the AUR store.

Singularity is now back online on the new mirror.

Skillpoints for mass tests will be applied within the next few hours.

I have only recently started playing on the test server. Can someone tell me what exactly happens when it is Mirrored? What changes or than new features and character account activations?

Edit: Also, is there anyway for someone to check to see if this account is activated? I was having problems before this mirror even though the account is two years old. Sorry I am an idiot when it comes to how the test server works.

The lack of /copyskills is a real downer. I'm too lazy to bother setting up skill queues all over again just for testing sessions every couple weeks, so I end up using that pretty much every time logging on SiSi. If it stays disabled or has 30 day cooldown I won't be helping test things anymore.

When the server is mirrored it becomes nearly an exact copy of Tranquility as of the moment of the mirror. There are a few differences such as all POSes being removed and some sovereignty stuff resetting. And of course the market seeding.

If your account was active on the 15th it will be active now.

Basically we take a copy of the TQ database, prune it of sensitive information such as POS placement, station configuration, build jobs and such, then seed certain markets with most items in the game, priced at 100isk. So all characters, inventories, etc. are as they were on TQ on the 15th Feb.
