Angel and Zane were my go-to guys if I needed assistance. I admired zane's pvp skill and angel was a beast too. I miss my brothers who didn't turn on me, maybe one day we will talk again. I talked to my buddy r' sin who I met irl, and he's coming back in a few months, so I expect fun to be had.

My modem died yesterday so I'm using my iPhone for internet today until the tech comes...fried modem I think. I got a 2gb data plan on my phone so I gots to be careful with my usage today.

Ok, let's all have a laugh at uncle Holey. I consider this more annoying than the lead farmer saga because it actually happened, for real.

So I've been bragging about my new gaming rig. I had everything working great except I order a humongous cpu/ram fan to install even though I had ordered a liquid cpu cooler to add to my liquid cooled titan x. Here's where the fun begins. First the fan didn't like the fan mounts on the mobo even though the fan screws were adjustable. I was working in good light, grounded, all the good stuff. I got it in finally, phew.

I fired her up and I got black screens, no bios. I was concerned as I wanted to play eve and relax. Relaxation did not occur, I started trouble shooting and had a q-code 00 on my motherboard, which meant nothing was happening whatsoever, except all my pretty lighted fans worked which was nice I guess. So I found the problem straight away. I had somehow bent a pin in the cpu cradle. Would anyone like a $400 paper weight?

New mobo arrives in a couple days. Live and learn eh? I'll just fire up my old comp if the delivery doesn't come soon. I was playing crysis 3 on a 4K monitor at 40 fps, now I have to wait.

Have a wonderful dayCry

I read this to say you didn't have enough CPU to fit a T2 fan mod.

I would recommend trying either switching to a faction mod or using low slot CPU augments.

You, sir, are welcome.

I would say I tried to fit a t3 subsystem on a t2 ship would be more appropriate. I got a new mothership...er...motherboard in the mail, hope it arrives soon. Got the corsair h90i liquid cooler for the cpu coming also, The mobo is a downgrade to the asus z170 pro gaming mobo. About the same as the asus z170 deluxe except $150 cheaper. Thank goodness I still have my old t1 computer until I can perform a rebuild.
Hey Mo, when I'm done this computer will be the equivalent of a tournament ship with officer mods. I'm depressed, but serene.

Don't forget, I'm selling a $400 paper weight...with ONE pin slightly out of alignment on the cpu cradle.

My new motherboard won't post. Tried swapping cpu, psu and ram. All fancy peripherals won't light up......black screens....no eve!
No beeps from internal speaker, all standoffs installed correctly, 1300W and 800W psu working fine.

Took in to tech when I gave up...$60 for diagnosis, bought a new i7 6700k cuz I thought that was the problem yesterday.....black hole sucking in much isk....er.....cash.
Computer tech calls and says that they're stumped. No post, so they can't run their diagnostic software. At least he tells me everyone is jealous of my fridge/computer and tbh I think they were a little intimidated by its high end nature . I'm getting the $60 refunded..whoopy.
So I had a chat with the tech and he says its most likely the mobo, which I agree. Called up vendor and they're sending a replacement. I'm friggin stumped and rather frustrated. Almost makes me want to reform reformingX

hey

tbh i would start with basics
I no pc expert but i have built a few

start with min spec cpu MB one memory chip leave of all the case fans
make sure you cpu is in right and the heat sink in in place
and if you have an old known good graphic card chuck that in just to see if you get post

connect up the little internal speaker as well to see if you get a beep code

your big danger here is that one faulty component kills another

good luck

edit
just looked up your MB it has built in gpu ...so leave out a graphic card till you get post

just boot cpu MB power suply and mem

you then know you got a running system

some stuff here people having the same problem

I appreciate the advice. I did try all those steps. I got no beeps whatsoever....took out gpu, tried onboard video : nothing. I switched the ram out with some other compatible ram, still nothing. I bought a new i7 6700k...but I don't think it was the issue, $700 down the chute. It must be the motherboard as I tried on 2 separate psu's also. My local computer techs were intimidated by my machine. I'm getting an RMA on the mobo so fingers crossed that it was faulty.

I run an I7 in a mini case as I wanted it easy to transport for work (more reliable than any laptop I've had so far), problem is the graphics card is basic, so I have to run EVE at lower levels. Really considering going to a bigger case and improving my graphics... can't do a Titan though... wife would shoot me in the head. lol

I ran a GeForce 960 with 3 eve clients, 1 4K and 2 HD monitors. Cheaper and is overkill for eve. Just an FYI. I got the Titan for games like fallout 4, Star Wars battlefront, and crysis 3. On my 4K monitor I was getting 40fps on crysis 3 which I hear is quite good. Liquid cooling the Titan made a huge difference too.
