Proposal: Rename TES Auctoritas

Like many other Faithful capsuleers, I was in Safizon the day TES Auctoritas was supposed to be handed over to Her Majesty, Empress Jamyl I. Like all the others who were there, I watched in horror at Her Majesty’s martyrdom.

Since that day, members of the Order of Jamyl have kept a vigil over the wreck of EF Seraph, an ever present, but ever empty, mausoleum. We continue to mourn her death and remember her, but in remembering her, we know that her life was not just the few moments at Safizon. Hers was a life of righteousness and glory, of triumph and strength. Empress Jamyl I returned pride to the Imperial Military and righted the wrongs of her father. Her mark on the Navy will last, even though she is gone.

Therefore, I propose that TES Auctoritas be renamed TES Empress Jamyl I. I can think of few better ways for the Navy to remember her.

I second this proposal. Although no doubt others will chime as to various fitting tributes (why do x if you can do y), there is no reason not to proceed with a simple and clear one while others are also pursued for her Holy Memory.

As someone who was also present on the field that day, I lend my voice and full spport behind this proposal.

An excellent proposal, Holy Mother, and one I feel the Navy will embrace quite easily. Were it not for Her Majesty's leadership in pushing the technology of the Navy forward, the TES Auctoritas likely would not have ever even been conceived.

Lady Mitara Newelle of House Sarum, Holder of the Mekhios province of Damnidios Para'nashu, Champion of House Sarum, Sworn Upholder of the Faith, Divine Commodore of the 24th Imperial Crusade

I feel somewhat conflicted about this proposal in that I do not wish to intertwine Her Majesty's blessed memory with a weapon of war.... but at the same time I so vividly recall the broad cast, before it went down, of the moment She returned to save the Empire in its hour of need.

It serves to remind me of a scriptural passage, my personal favourite.

"The word of the Lord is pure,
It is a shield for the faithful,
Brought unto men by the Angels,
As a guiding light in the darkness "
- The Scriptures, Prophet Anoyia 8:15

She truly was our shield and a guiding light that perhaps shone too brightly for her short reign.

What fills the soul? Something that guides a lost child back to it's parents arms. Or waves that dye the shores of the heart gold. A blessed breath to nurture life in a land of wheat. Or the path the Sef descend drawn in ash. In the wake of fire.

The space around Jamyl's titan has now been desecrated with twenty mobile depots condemning her for the sin of manumission and her failure to advance the Reclaiming. In the coming Blood Age, Empresses will be less...sinful. Even so, may the Blood Age come quickly. Amen. Amarr Victor.

So you openly admit to the sin of desecration towards a former incumbant of the Throne? Is that not against all natural and scriptural laws of the faithful and Amarr? And yet, you still claim to be able to say the words Amarr Victor?

Wallow and putrify in your sin, traitor.

I don't care one way or another about it, but you do realize that it's bad luck to rename a ship... right?

I want to paint my ship Periwinkle.

Tyrel...... Shhh let them find that out. Though the new name sounds fitting I guess....... Unless it's deployed against us, then its not fitting.

Are you really saying I'd have had much better luck all this time if I'd just left everything named, "Aria Jenneth's [Whatever]"?

I don't think that ship's luck can get any worse.

I don't believe that's really naming the ship, more so just claiming it as yours when you have it assembled. It's more of a place holder.

And I believe in bacon. Mounds of delicious bacon.

Ah, the joys of capsuleerhood.

Clogged arteries do not transfer to new clones.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I wholeheartedly back this proposal. As for Nauplius, the only blood that will be spilt in this 'blood age' will be his blood and that of his ilk. The grace and wonders of our Holy Empire are simply outside his grasp on reality, and should be treated with the utmost disdain that such comments deserve.

The wicked and vile SFRIM corporation has once again heaped wrath upon itself in God's mighty storehouse of wrath by destroying the Mobile Depots I had placed around Jamyl's Titan, Mobile Depots that merely proclaimed the truth about Jamyl's grave sins of Manumission and horrible failures in the Reclaiming.

I, too, have made room in my life for bacon.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.
