CCP Punkturis,

Just out of curiosity, would it be possible to add so kind of mini client to eve that does not display the game graphics, but allows you to move all your chat windows and other things to it?

Obviously this would only benefit people with multiple monitors.

Nice new features. But agent tab in station needs to be more compact. just add bold font to there names, don't increase it.

This would require moving almost all the UI stuff off the viewport. Not sure I want it.

Any chance the S&I window can get some 'little things' love sometime? Like an ability to save common job 'plans' for re-use, dictating default from:to input:outputs, etc.

Ask any person that deals with jobs, especially compression on a Rorq, the current interface mechanics SUCK.

Can I just right-click the notification popup itself? I don't see why should I need the extra step of dragging it somewhere and pointlessly spamming some chat window.

yeah it's two "features"

you can right click it, or drag it to chat

Since you guys improve on the watchlist have you thought of adding drop functionality?
For example drag people from fleet window or fleet chat to watchlist to add them or drag people away from watchlist to remove them.

On a seperate note would be also nice to have that in fleet to add or remove people from fleet or at least add :3

This would help the mouse to survive for few more years when playing eve.

yes please! drop and drag functionality for the watchlist.

If somebody asked "who is anchor" i could just drag and drop the person to the chat from my watchlist. That somebody would then drag the link to his watchlist *dreams*

Even the simple ability of remembering that the previous manuf/copy/invention/research job that I just queued up:

- Was at installation XYZ, so that when I click "pick installation" the range filter remembers the previous setting, and that installation is automatically selected in the list. Which would knock off (3) clicks per job. (This would need to be remembered by job type - i.e. copy / invent / manuf / ME research / PE research / reverse engineering.)

- That my last output location was tab "XYZ", which would eliminate another (2) clicks per job in cases where I want the output to a different division each time. (This would need to be remembered as separate settings for the different types of jobs which require you to select an output division. So copy / invent / reverse engineering / manuf jobs.)

- If it's a BPC for a manuf job, defaulting the "Runs" field to the # of runs left on the BPC.

- Using the same "base item" & "decryptor" for an invention job as the last job (where those choices makes sense given the blueprint).

That alone would eliminate a lot of the tedium involved in setting up industry jobs in cases where you're queuing up multiple jobs of the same exact type. I'd glady settle for 3-5 fewer clicks each time I have to queue up a job.

What do you mean? You would have to drag each window to the mini client?

Obviously this would be optional and there could be a option in the settings to automatically start the mini client whenever you launch eve. There could also be an option (right click or in settings) to move all chat channels to the mini client.

Because I'm annoyed today...

(Counts up the number of clicks required to start a manufacturing job when using a POS array.)

a. (2) right-click the BPC or BPO, select "manufacturing"
b. (1) click on "Pick Installation"
c. (2) click on "Range", change to appropriate range
d. (1) click on Installation
e. (2) double-click on an available slot
f. (2) click on the output tab and change that
g. (1) click inside the "Runs" field, type in 10/300/1500
h. (1) click "Ok" button
i. (1) click "Accept quote" button

Total: 13 mouse clicks + keystrokes to fill in the "Runs" box.

Item "c" (2 clicks) is redundant if it would remember my last chosen range for this type of job. It would be nice if "d" and "e" would simply auto-select the last used installation and auto-select the first used slot, which would save 2 clicks. Item "f" remembering its previous state for this type of job would save another 2 clicks. Item "g" would save another click, plus the need to type a number that doesn't change 99% of the time when doing BPC manufacturing jobs.

So even the easy stuff like "remember the setting from the previous job of the same type (manuf/copy/invent/etc)" would shave 6 clicks off of a 13-click process.

Hi,

there are a few new things from Team BFF in the latest build.

Please play around with them and let us know if you have some issues Big smile

  • New agents list, it tells you if you've been offered or if you've accepted a mission from an agent
  • Watch list can now have 15 people
  • Watch list can now be ordered by dragging and dropping pilots
  • Chat member list can be made more compact, right click on chat tab and "Show Compact Member List"
  • New icons for online/offline, blocked and voice in member lists
  • The online/offline notification which pops up when your buddy/enemy logs in is now has standings icon
  • Said notificaction can be dragged to chat to info link that pilot and right clicked on
  • You can now shift click modules to overload them
  • Overload button shows feedback from when it's been clicked until it's activated/deactivated
  • You can now filter the skills you see in your character sheet and skill queue to find the skill you want

(Dev blog on all these little things coming soon Blink)

Dutchess,

These are all great changes, any chance we'll get new damage notifications soon? Allow my damage, drone dmg, incoming damage etc be different colours and in different areas of the screen? I would personally love a real time dps calculator ...

Just a couple things I've noticed.

Firstly the orbiting customs office does not appear in 'Planet view' when viewing your own planets, but it does when viewing ones you don't own.

Also it would be great if the planetary interaction had a button all of it's own, rather than been only accessible through the industry button.

Actually on that note, will it be possible to have buttons for say incursions, or manufacturing jobs, that we can drag onto the bar.

Also is it my imagination, or is Captains Quarters running smoother at the moment?

First, nice hair.

Second; Is there any way to have skill filtering search by description to more easily find all skills that affect, say, shields or afterburners? Here's the problem I see with filtering: I type in "afterburn" into the filter box, I get back Afterburner. I don't get anything about Acceleration Control or Fuel Conservation.

Third; are there any plans to allow wildcard searches on the market ala the wildcard search available on contracts? That would be really, really nice.

This will only be a simple skill name filter. IMO it's a bit overkill to make some massive search like the contracts search on your skill list

thanks for the hair compliment Blink

and btw, here's my dev blog as promised
