Need help with dual monitor setup

Problem:
Unable to make windowed mode stretch from a non-main monitor in Windows 7. More specifically, I can get dual monitor to work, but only if I make Windows 7 set my left-most monitor as my main monitor. I would like to have EVE work even though my right-most monitor is my main monitor. It seems that EVE can only cascade to the right of the main monitor, which causes the issue of only working when left-most monitor is set as the main.

The reason this is a problem? Because other games demand to run in the main monitor, and can't run in secondary monitors. I'm not interested in having to look on my left monitor when playing other games, in that case I want to look in the center monitor of course.

Has anyone had this issue and solved it? Am I doomed to manually change main monitor each time I switch between EVE and other games?

In the Eve graphical settings you can set which of the multiple monitors eve considers as the "main" monitor by changing which display adaptor it launches with (for some reason Eve shows a separate adapter for each output your GPU has). Set that to match your leftmost screen and you should be good.

Thanks Marcus. Was wondering about that myself.Big smile

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Full screen windowed mode and select the display adapter (within the eve display and graphics settings tab) that correlates to your left monitor. Messing with what windows says the main monitor is isn't necessary.

I think I tried that, they had the exact same name in the list, but it didn't seem to work for me, I got the same result with the application snapping to main screen.

UPDATE: I got it working. A big thank you to you Big smile I was getting confused over it differentiating on GPU output and not on monitors. Would've made more sense if they just said monitor A or B in the menu hehe. Saved my day.

Outta interest (as we seem to be running similar graphic setups) - any of you seeing some major stuttering issues after todays patch? I'm sat in Jita 4-4 not doing anything, watching my framerate swing wildly between 180fps and 40fps.

And no probs, took me a while myself to work out how to force eve into funny resolutions across multiple combinations of screens Lol

Haven't tried undocking, taking a break lately. I am docked at Jita 4-4.
