ok i am not making a ticket yet as i dont have a clue myself so maybe if enough info comes out of this topic i will do that.

i had a keyboard logitech G-15 with the multimedia keys, little screen and programmable keys very nice and handy. but every now and then i had a lock up i could not type but my push to talk button (right ALT) still worked as did the num/scroll/caps lock.

but the F1 to F12 and all letters/numbers refused service, this ONLY happened when playing eve but if i minimize eve en open a note i could not type anything there either. after a few times i was sick of it and i bought a new keyboard plain and basic keyboard with no special stuff what so ever.

still had the problem, a reboot fixes it, but its realy annoying to reboot PC middle in mission or roam Sad

same problem, same keyboard. I can type a-z 1-9 in any text entry field.. but no keyboard shortcuts work (ESC, F-keys, Enter, CTRL+click to target, D to dock and so on). Mousebutton shortcuts has the same fate.

reboot has not fixed anything for me though... only been logging in for training the last couple of days so I'm unsure as to when it started.

I found another guy's thread about this, I am having the issue as well. As far as I can tell ever since the new NeoCom patch the "Settings" folder in the client no longer exists. This was where a database for each character was kept that stored information such as keybindings and window positions. Now it seems the game functions without it... must be storing window position data elsewhere... However keybindings have been bugged from this new change. Since some ppl and not everybody has this problem, I can only imagine that something went wrong when settings where transferred for the new client format during the patching for some people. There is probably only 1 way to fix this and its to find and delete the file that stores this data and re-run the game so its regenerated with all default windows and settings. You would then have to reprogram everything. If we can't find that file looks like a clean install of eve is needed.

Ok wow, so reboot your computer after the patch will fix it, probably to finish the new way ccp saves player data as mentioned above.
