So I've finally advanced my pi techniques a bit.

For the longest time I was making mehcanical parts on one planet. Later expanding to another planet for harvesting productions.

Recently I thought instead of wasting so much on 4 basic industry for each, Base metals were abundant on the manufacturing planet, and precious metals could be harvested and produced on the plasma planet in system. Saving powergrid for more harvesting.

Now after that I looked into making silicate glass, a magma planet (also in system) could supply the falsic magma to silicon whilst a gas planet could harvest the reactive gas and produce the glass from both, but now I realize the magma planet is richest in heavy metals, which could be afforded to harvest and produce toxic metals on that planet as well, afterwords shipped to the mechanical parts planet to use the already existing precious metal shipments while only adding one extra facility. So one planet can now afford to manufacture enriched uranium on the side of its mechanical parts production.

I'm really happy with this outcome since all I even had was just one advanced indy facility, now boosting to 2 on one planet through saving resources, just to produce double the mechanical parts. Downside is I will need planetary command center trained to 5 to start enriched uranium production with the third "advanced production", and planetary consolidation needs a level before silicate glass can even go anywhere on the gas planet.

I'm not even going to bother with the higher tier manufacturing stuff, especially since this is all highsec minmaxing. It also requires me to launch "all" materials from the command center, which is a pain in the ass with expedited transfers (full storage throws away excess so I cannot route directly to the command center) but necessary if I want to keep my margins lower than the customs office majority.

I also noticed the launch containers only spawn after you click "warp to", as in it appears on grid nearby if you're already at the planet only after you decide to warp to the container. Which puts no containers at risk so long as no one following you warps faster.

Now if only I could manage my planetary stuff from an app. the launched containers stay in space for 4 days, and only require (pickup/dropoff/expedited) transfer in bulk.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Would you actually like to discuss something in this thread, or is this the equivalent of a crazy person standing outside the train station shouting to any that will listen? :)

Perfection is a dish best served like wasabi .

Pretty much this.

But I knew absolutely nothing about Pi for the longest time. And it just becomes and understood thing when you fiddle with it enough, basically the EVE learning curve.

Oh dear lord.

You should spend an afternoon looking for a WH with favorable tax rates (not as rare as you might think) and throw up a stick in one.

"Help, I'm bored with missions!"

I thought the discussion part would be the app you mentioned. Which probably won't be released by the way Lol

You probably would have received a better response to this thread if you had posted it in the Industry sub-forum.

Command Center 5 is pretty much a requirement for PI in high-sec. This will allow you to produce P2 on a single planet which is the best option for minimizing effort. Set the cycle to 2 day 1.5 hours and restart the harvesters every two days. Plan to collect from the POCO about every 2-3 weeks. Be sure to search for good tax rates before you commit to a planet.

WH or null will yield a great deal more if that's something you're interested in.

Or find a quiet place in lowsec on the edge of high and smuggle stuff past the campers once a month into high and Red Frog it to Jita once you have it in hisec.

That is what I do. Set up the planets in null sec.

I would never do PI in High sec again. The counts are so small.
