Warfare links (boosting alt bonus)

Here's the scenario:

My boosting alt is a siege warfare specialist with a shield harmonizing link fitted on his ship.

I form a valid two-member fleet (main as squad leader + alt as squad member).

Once the alt is assigned as the squad booster, the bonuses apply correctly (as seen on the fitting screen). This means I get no resist bonus with warfare link off, and I get one if the link is running.

HOWEVER,from now on, turning the warfare link on/off, warping or even cloaking my alt has NO EFFECT on the bonus, and it persists as long as both stay in the same system.

This is no display error, I tested this by firing some missiles at my main - the damage reduction is consistent with the fitting window display.

One more thing: if I jump the alt through a gate, both my main's and my alt's bonuses disappear, and are not reapplied until I revoke and reassign my alt as the squad booster (once in the same system together, of course).

A bug, or working as intended? Does the same mechanic apply when fleet boosting (i was under the impression that cloaked fleet boosters have been dealt with by CCP quite a while ago?).


UPDATE: this does seem to be a bug, it went away after I reformed the fleet.

What indicator are you using to determine whether bonuses apply? because your Shield Harmonising link is not the only bonus applying...
While in warp for example the shield amount boost from siege warfare still applies - as it isn't reliant on an active module.

The means by which most assess their boost's presence (the green tick in the corner of the fleet window) is less useful in this regard - as it shows that boosts will apply but makes no such distinctions.

For example when Orca is in Warp We still have its boosts. Isnt this a bug ? Why ppl arent talking about thease things ? All dem links are broken in the game atm.... Also my Mackinaw no longer has moving parts... wtf....

The boosts work fine for me and i am a hardcore ice fleetminer. When the orca warps, the boost modules stops working. That boost vanishes. The boosts that come from skills only don't work when the orca is docked or in another system.

If something works for you, and you think it shouldn't, then stfu and enjoy it.Bear
