What do I do in FW

Hello

I'm a low sp fairly new player, and I want to join FW.
However I fail to see what is so great about it.

Seems to me that people running FW plexes are only farmers with stabs in their lows and 0 intention of fighting.
And then there is of course the occasional pirate svipul flying about.

I wish to find a larger group of FW people, who does everything from solo to big capital warfare, and someone with knowledge of fits and tactics to share.

Does such a group exist in FW?
If yes, can anyone point me in a direction?

Thanks in advance

I just got gangbanged by Goons in Heydieles. If you like fighting against solo T1 frigates and destroyers 10 v 1, Goonswarm Federation might need your help.

With low sp it might be hard for you to find a group that does everything from small gang to capital stuff.

In the Gallente militia there are groups such as black fox, the bebop corps, and gmva alliance corps that may suit you depending on your focus. If you want to blob things and be a pet there is also rdraw.

I think temples calsf might be the only group that still does bigger gang and cap stuff in call mil.

Over on the amarr minni side I don't know who is big or active other then maybe dirt n' glitter. I know both sides third pArty and batphone for pirates so that may get you into the fights you want.

Apply to different corps, find one that fits you, as most established fw organizations aren't defined by button sitting.

Ah! C'mon, it is not only Goons, who blob you.

OP, look in section for corp advertising. There is tons of corps in caldari militia. (The Mjolnir Bloc for example)

But you should probably try eve uni first... Just a thought.

Sounds like you want Gal Mil really OP.

You may need to play for a long time or throw a lot of money into skill injectors if you want to be involved in the full range of EVE activities however.

Amarr and Min Mil are batphoning for pirate groups but generally that warzone is quieter.

Cal Mil...well...if you are in the US timezone you will be fine. Otherwise just no. BLOC are the best group to aim for there.

Good OP:

You will have to get team speak and listen to a squeaky teen FC.
As soon as that happens you have lost FW. It will erase part of your mind. Don't do it.
Solo Eve is pretty dull, but it is not nearly as bad as 10 minutes of teen team speak.

If you want fights in faction warfare. Find where your enemy bases and plex in their system - they will come fight you.

Plexing somebodys home will result in a fight 90% of the time, unless that home system is kehjari, in which case you can plex unimpeded for hours on end.

I resent that because I'll definitely kick you out of any plex if I ever bother to log in. But seriously RL stuff kills EVE. Cry

* all my experience is Fromm Amarr Vs Minmatar*

Small gang and capital scale brawls are not a thing in FW really.

If you want that join a large alliance either in low or null to get the capital scale fights and then fly with a few guys from the alliance to get small gang.

FW is all about solo, small gang, medium brawls (50 ish) usually in cruiser hulls. Only on rare occasions will capitals and battleships be used in any meaningful scale and number by FW groups.

I spent about 3 years in FW and enjoyed it getting some great fights and cool memories along the way. Also as an FC I resent the squeaky teen FCS remark from the Minnie scum, clearly you never found a good one.

Battleship and capital fights absolutely happen in fw. Gal cal war zone and its pirates often use them against each other on a fairly regular basis. Black rise is full of small gangs running around with a higher frequency then probably anywhere else in New Eden.

there are so many noob friendly fw corps. http://www.factionwarfare.com/recruiting-corps/caldari-corporations/ is a good place to start. even the ones in there that are not noob friendly are apart of an alliance that has noob friendly corps in them. militia chat gets spammed by corp ads like crazy. fleet finder is a good way to see who is active. just click the fleet boss, find their alliance, look up the corps in it, if there are noob friendly ones join. id stay away from the ones who just wanna gate camp while system battles are going down.

My alliance does all of the above... solo, small & micro gang, large fleets and capital escalations and conflicts. Search "Templis CALSF" on YouTube for our channel to get a sense of the breadth of stuff we do and find us in-game in our public channel at "CCDM CHAN".

We're also the longest running Caldari FW alliance living in the war zone as well if that holds any weight with you.

Best advice I can give you is find and join an active FW corp where you'll learn extremely fast; faster than flying solo.
