Burner Fits: Cheap Cookie Cutter

I thought I would start a separate thread for "Cookie Cutter" Burner fits that are cheap, dispense with overheating and require a minimum of micromanagement, piloting and replacement of expendables (drones, cap boosters and module repairs). ISK cost values are derived from pyfa, so expect a bit (~) of variance. Credit where due.

Utilization: Orbit @20km (25km for Jaguar), engage MWD. Lock, activate MGCs and target escorts first. Apply ammunition as follows: Hawk/Bantam (Mjolnir), Burst (Javelin Mjolnir) Enyo/Navitas/Inquisitor (Nova), Vengeance: Inferno, Jaguar: Scourge.

Pros: Minimal micromanagement, no cap booster or drone costs; fast completion.
Cons: Occasional wrecking shot can scare the sh*t out of you; forgetting to orbit Jaguar @25km.

ECM works on teamburners allowing a "safer" non-polarized light missile fit.

However the vagaries of ECM mean you will prob take more like 10 minutes per mission.

If you just run the occasional burner to supplement mainstream missioning the ECM LML Garmur is an OK safe cheap option. If you are trying to blitz burners and get your ISK/hour maxed out you probably need the Polarized Rocket version.

I have been runing Team Burner missions in a rail Enyo with double mission-specific meta 4 ECM fitted.

The main issue with this setup is low dps applied to high kin/thermal resist burners. An arty version of the same concept might be a possible solution (Jaguar or even Thrasher?).

To avoid tracking issues, instead of orbiting I just keep at range. It does take up to 10 min to finish a mission though.

Intend to try polarized version of that fit too.

Not gonna post it here though, as the Garmur fit is likely better (if a tad more expensive).

I'm also looking for fits where you don't have to swap out modules. The Polarized fit is 100% safe, and it's not hard to simply orbit and apply MWD.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Try replacing the TP for another MGC; I don't know what your missile skills are like, but with 3x MGCs (without any scripts), I find that they seem to have more effect than with the TP applied.

This is just anecdotal though, I haven't done any rigorous testing or recording of data.

I'll definitely give that a try. I've got perfect missile and TP skills along with +6 implants, so I don't think I'm going to see much of a difference between the TP and a third MCG. I could be wrong, though.

I wish Amarr ships were more viable for burner missions, so far I haven't seen anybody posting fits where they use amarr ships, in which they also work.

the vengeance should work but cant remember against which one. personally the succubus works very well against the angel dram. needs caldari frig too.

team burners being the ones where you have to fight the Frig and its 2 logi supports

i also got confused on this and found out the hard way lol
