Actually, no, most sensor modes and comms in Eve are demonstrably FTL. Subspace radio/Ansibles are the obvious go-to scifi explanation, particularly given the Local chat window message in Wormholes. ;)

Math and realism be damned. If a botter can go continuous Dscan then I want a 30 second delay and a beacon so I can warp in and wonk him. I realistically want to be able to punish anyone not at the keyboard farming isk.

Feel free to wrap that up in a nice package or present it any way you want.

With the Dscan immunity of recons, I like this false sense of security.

Why would a bot have any particular difficulty mashing a button at regular intervals?

Repetitive tasks are sort of in their bailiwick.

Sig bloom into a beacon!

Beacon is so close to bacon, I can't imagine why anyone would be against something that is so close to bacon.

What do you mean by a contact? You know D-scan shows asteroids and structures and stuff like that right? As you move around lots of different things come into D-scan range. So you would be alerting constantly.

I think if you want to suggest this idea, you need to define more specifically and exactly how it would work. Your current description is vague.

Not going go into physics here!

The point was, that realism shouldn't over rule game balance!
As far I see it, the D-scan should have a lot longer scan time progressive whit range!
