Try a new camera? It looks like I'm in X3 Terran conflict / Reunion with zooming glasses.
Really, strange zooming camera.

When I came today to the game, I wanted to close this game and leave again, I'm very emotional.
CCP, I think it is wrong idea with this camera.

At least, let live the old Good camera, let it stay in the game.

I do NOT want use zooming glasses. Thank, but no.

General settings > untick "Try the New Camera" (thanks, Crosi Wesdo).

I don't like having blinkers put on.

Thanks for the info about how to disable it, Pix.

CCP, trying new things is good but please keep the original features in the new system. I might be in the minority here, but I rely on the tracking camera feature heavily and would be quite irritated if it were permanently removed from the game.

Scanning was a good change, the map changes are mediocre, but I wish I could bin the new camera system completely.

Old camera will be removed completely in one month so better get used to the new one.

And read the dev blog which explains how change-averse people can make the new camera behave almost identically to the old one.

They remove old camera and there will be riots. New camera is s*** and have been saying so for months. Broken useless s****.

Same story with the stupid ring they added around the cap display that's supposed to "help navigate." The icon changes I can live with, don't like them but whatever. They don't effect gameplay so much. But who ever is doing this UI work needs to be let go. It's just one worthless, unwanted, nonfunctional change being forced down our throat after another.

(not to mention the new maps and probe scanning. Ppl are still having issue's with those)

I will give them this. At least before forcing this garbage to default they fixed camera rotation during look at. Last I tested it on the test server if you selected an object and hit "track" (though why they needed to force us to hit a button to do that when it worked automatically before is beyond me) and you then tried to rotate the camera to look around the camera would detach from your ship and rotate around a point in empty space. Completely destroying any sense of situational awareness or even giving you any clue where you ship was at all for that matter. Your ship just completely vanished out of view and would VERY slowly slide back into view after 10 seconds or so. The camera seems to remain on your ship now at least, but the camera movement is all still so horribly clunky/drifty/bouncy that the entire thing is nausea inducing.

So lets see, what have they given us and how much of it is either largely disliked, unwanted, non-functional or just down right abhorred...

New "blurry transparent" UI?
New ui icons?
New module icons?
New overview icons?
Navigational ring thingamajig?
New star map?
New system/probe map?
Changes to dscan min range?
New "improved" camera?
First person camera? lol's

All that and one simple thing that either can't or refuse to do that ppl repeatedly asked to have back that we USED to have but they took away, custom ui colors...

CCP's UI devs and who ever approves their work are more out of touch with the player base than the US government is with US citizens.

That's quite the sperg there daem, tbh I've liked and adapted to every Ui update thus far.

This is the first one I have to just Nope out of,
how the hell am I ment to track anything if the camera can't track the damn thing as it leaves grid ffs,
I can live with the c-click but the "warping" immunity to the camera kills it for me.

Sorry :) I've just been annoyed with this camera and the way they are pushing and pushing it with so little regard to feed back. Today's patch pushing the new camera to default combined with all the other recent "improvements" was just enough to make the bucket overflow. In all honestly I've also adjusted to most of the other things without much issue but the point is that it shows a trend of pushing things that (even if ppl can eventually adjust to them) are just unnecessary or unwanted. It all reeks of trying to either justify a job or someone (in the decision making process) who is just determined to do what THEY want regardless of whether or not its actually a good decision or investment of time and resources.

leave new camera, turn off all advanced camera features and push camera speed to max ( move slider to right). Like this, new camera is way better then old one.

New camera is in no way better than old one. No setting changes that. It drifts too much, it shifts too much, fov changes are bad, addition of new keypresses required to do the same things as before are bad, first person is useless fluff and zoom response is terrible.

Turn off all the "features", get rid of the response curves, take away the extra clicks and what you have is the old camera. Whats the purpose of this change again?

Capacitor display screws itself, our clients crash upon entering wormholes for what, a year now?
yet we get a new camera which also crashes the client itself. friggin devs know how to set priorities.

Just saw what you were talking about "Tracking a warping entity is no longer permitted by the camera"
This is supposed to be an improvement? So now not only is it more cumbersome to track an object on the overview in order to maintain situational awareness or to utilize d-scan, but now the tracking camera breaks lock as soon as someone tries to enter warp so that it's nearly impossible to see where they're going. Should make trying to catch cowards and farmers tons of fun. Am I correct in assuming that not only do the UI team want to see how many ppl they can **** off and how much they can break but they want to make running away easier for carebears as well? This just keeps getting better. There are more things in this new camera that make ppl want to avoid it at all costs then there are ANY kind of actual improvements. Tell me again why the new camera is opt out instead of opt in? Or for that matter why it exists in the first place?

I don't usually post on the forums, but this new camera is really irritating for me.

Granted I haven't played with the new camera for long, but from what I've tried, I find myself getting slightly nauseous. There's just something with the mouse sensitivity with the new camera that bugs me.

Ok, so I'm open to new ideas and maybe given some time I might try it out again...

WHAT REALLY GETS ME.... why the heck would you disable the option of turning the new camera off after 1 month?

The UI changes have been asked for by many many people over many years. Because they didnt do what one group of people wanted doesn't mean they didn't listen. They just didn't listen to you, which is why you're pissed.
