I started by reading this article

Skill Trading Launch and Offers on AUR, Subscriptions and Plex

For the mathematically challenged, the article points out that this means $20 = 4,500 = 5 extractors.

Meanwhile, several thousand miles away across the Atlantic in the land of warm beer and cold rain, I find this in the Aurum store ....

Most popular AUR package is £16.00 GBP ( $23.12 at today's rate) for 3,600 plus 435 = 4,035.

I also notice that 6 PLEX in the US cost $99.99 but in the UK they cost £89.99 ( $130.04 )

So, in the US I can get 5 extractors and 6 PLEX for $119.99, but in the UK I can only get 4 extractors plus 6 PLEX for $153.16. Apart from a perfectly understandable hatred of the British, is there a reason for this ?

I cant find the 50€ 12200AUR point as offered in the thread you linked.

I think they haven't updated the account store yet, these are the old prices - you can't yet buy extractors for cash - which was also promised.

(cross posted with Rakomela's reply above ... I am surpised if they haven't got the store sorted yet, I thought "revenue stream" was a big driver behind this ... let's see if it changes later.)

Im sure £ has always been more expensive than paying with $...

Don't know why and it seems a bit unfair considering its software your paying for, not an actual product you would require postage for or something...

UPDATE

The store has now changed. UK prices still work out about 15% higher than dollar prices, but at least the AUR pack is 3,600 + 900 = 4,500 as advertised.

UK has more tax.

Unless you happen to have your HQ in some obscure location such as Iceland...
