Out of Pod Experience

I can't help but wonder what people who write these lengthy farewells, replete with tails of their conscientious and blame-free (blame for what I still don't get) careers that are supposed to in some way infer a glorious paradigm of some sort, have in mind when they bother to gin up these walls of text as though anything they've spewed has any significance whatever other than in the dark recesses of their own minds - and egos.

I'm reminded of Douglas Adams (as we often are) who, when he had the dolphins bug out was kind enough to have their farewell just a tad shorter, and a ton more heartfelt:



At the center of this I can't help but think the actual point of these are, "I really wanted to be the focus of attention, but EVE won't allow me to be the focus of attention since there's so many OTHER EVE players, so I'm quitting - but telling you "why" as I go as a last ditch effort to (in some small way) finally become the focus of attention!

Yes. It was too long. I didn't read it. For future reference all you dramatic quitters out there. I won't read yours either.
