Fanfest 2016: Party at The Top of the World - Feedback
Fanfest 2016 is approaching and only a few months away! To warm you up, CCP Guard wants to give you a sneak preview on the Saturday night party "Party at The Top of the World" with the famous Icelandic metal band Skálmöld and the incredible Permaband! Fanfest tickets are still available.

Fanfest 2016 - Call For Player Speakers & How You Can Get Involved! - Feedback
Fanfest 2016 is, of course, a huge celebration. But it also hosts tons of interesting and high quality presentations, in-depth and engaging discussions, reveals of future game development, and most certainly a lot of community interaction. We would like to give you the chance to talk on stage - if you have the experience and material for a full 45 minutes, shorter 10-15 minutes or lighting 5 minute talks - check out what is in for you!

EVE_NT in Nottingham on Feb 19 with EVE: Valkyrie & CCP Devs
The popular EVE_NT player gathering in Nottingham, UK, takes place on February 19th and 20th. Developers, such as CCP Masterplan and CCP Lebowski, will attend as well. You also can try out our anticipated virtual reality dogfighting shooter EVE Valkyrie!. If you are anywhere close and available that weekend, you should join EVE_NT!

First Fanfest 2016 speaker announced
The first Fanfest 2016 speaker has been announced: Andrew Groen. Andew is the author of Empires of EVE: A History of the Great Wars of EVE Online (more about this here). Being a virtual worlds historian and a former journalist with Wired, we can expect a brilliant presentation full of fun and insight. Thank you, Andrew, for your commitment!

February release on Feb 9
Downtime info
The February release will be deployed on Feb 9 from 11:00 to 11:30 UTC during a regular downtime. This release brings a huge change with the ability to trade skills between characters. Besides this change we have a large amount of bug fixes and additional features. Check out the patch notes for all the details!

Wreck Hitpoint Rebalance
Up until now, regular wrecks have all had a uniform 500 hull hitpoints. With the next release this will change so that wrecks of larger ships will have considerably more hitpoints up to 30.000 for Titan wrecks.

Game design
When you are at the north pole, which direction is "south"? Orientation in space can be tricky
The player "Eternus8lux8lucis" asked if there is anything that can be done to improve the ship/view point behavior when you try to directly look "up" or "down". This is also known as gimbal lock issue. CCP Darwin explains in detail the underlying issue here in a very good post. There are ways to solve this issue, but not without changing fundamental mechanics in EVE. A work around, such as used in EVE, is to prevent rotating up more than 89.5 degrees.

Game launcher
Slow download rates?
If you experience slow download rate, then usally this indicates an issue between your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Contacting your ISP might help. Or you could try to change your DNS servers as explained here.

Issues starting the EVE Launcher?
If the EVE game launcher isn't starting up or just displaying a white window, please set an environment variable as outlined by CCP Snorlax. This is a workaround for now. Also be rest assured that the game launcher is still [url=https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=6320357#post6320357]receiving improvements and additional...

CCP can you please, please, pretty please, let us untrain skills we don't want in our training que. I mean after we extract all SP to 0 of a certain skill. If I extract all mining skills to 0 SP, I don't ever want to see Mining Upgrades, Astrogeology, or Mining skills in my training que ever. I don't even want anything in return, just a cleaned up training que is all I'm asking for. Thanks.
