How could anyone not like Sansha? They have spikes, shoot lasers, and have a pretty cool backstory as well. Sure... they turn people into cyborg slaves, but nobody's perfect.

Naturally I was quite happy that they started invading highsec! What a great opportunity incursions presented to shake things up a bit in highsec, Sansha could have gate camps in incursion systems and gate guns would be disabled, concord could go away while Sansha were in control, and of course players allied with Sansha could earn LP killing those players trying to end the incursion.

Sadly, this opportunity was mostly wasted. There's nothing wrong with a large reward, so long as its coupled with large risk. And hey, risk is fun anyway :)

It could be an interesting mechanic, if the Incursion ISK faucet is indeed as big a problem as the recent swathe of threads suggested. Rather than having CCP do something to fix it, allow players to join Sansha's nation and rewrite the future of New Eden ...

Its a terrible idea sadly, everyone dreams of shooting players really easily and getting away with it. If you could actually shoot the incursion runners in hi sec and no concord, they would dry up and never be run, and you would have no kills. So you not being able to kill them now is the same as if they did allow you to kill them. Nothing in life is easy not even easy kills.

Be tough joining sansha, evil people always lose in the end, even in spaceballs where they proved good was dumb. Sansha doesnt have to grind for the ships you guys blow up, so she keeps doing them, Be a bad idea joining her with that being her main strategy.

I'm dreaming at the moment, so treat this as a flight of fancy rather. But imagine if you had Empire / Concord responses to Incursions as well. Perhaps with slower response times than currently. Allow players to join Sansha, but with severe restrictions on what they can do in Empire. Then see how long before all Capsuleers belong to Sansha and New Eden is reshaped in Sansha's image.

Edit: Not sure if Sansha will have a use for a young Industrial pilot though, so I'll be quiet now.

Yeah.. it would be almost like all those other risk prone PvE activities that nobody ever runs, like nullsec/lowsec ratting, plexes, wormholes, FW, lvl 5 missions, etc etc etc.

.... seriously I wonder about some people Roll

There is nothing to stop a sanshas friendly corp war deccing an incursion corp or a bunch of them, the mechanic already exists to do this, working as intended...

When I first heard about Incursions I thought it is would be something along the lines of the OP. Instead it ended up being some EQ/WoWish PvE raid abomination that spits in the face or risk vs reward, RP, and EVE's claim to be a Sandbox MMORPG.

Sansha Incursions if they do occur in High Sec at all should turn that space into Low or Null Sec for the duration.

At least CCP said they're looking at Incursions now, will be interested to see what they say in their blog.

War Decs are broken, it's trivial to avoid them atm.

1: Outgoing wardec limit
2: Alliance shells for shedding decs
3: NPC Corps

Most things in Eve "work as intended", but that's irrelevant, the more important question is how can these things be improved or built upon.

What I wrote describes some aspects of what FW *could* be, though far from what it is.

Sansha are indeed our friends.

They showed us that Concord are a bunch of tools. I shoot your Badger and they show up 15 seconds later to splode my piddly ass but when Sansha show up? They is nowhere to be found.

If this is what you seek then I would direct you to any of the low/null sec incursions as this affords one the opportunity to engage in such activity’s with out hindrance and you will no doubt be shot at … oh I forgot it's about the level of risk involved, you want the easy kills with little risk.

I guess we aren't that different after all.

Being friends with Sansha is like asking to become the NPC puppet of an NPC villain.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

I don't think this would go how some of you think it would go.

You wouldn't be able to pad your KB's with 1000's of faction fitted pirate BS's everyday. They would just turn into low sec incursions, which already exist.

Don't be simple. There should be players on both sides, both with incentive to kill each other. I simply oppose near risk free gameplay in Eve, especially when it pays comparably to many high risk activities.

Being the prey can be fun, and I've certainly played on both sides of that coin.
