I recently upgraded my computer with a clean install of Windows 7 and cannot get EVE to install. I have downloaded the manual install files and get this error message: "Archive extraction failed: 1003"

Last night I used just the installer file and received a similar error message but don't recall it's exact wording.

How can I get back into this game?

Edited to include this message when attempting to install again,

" The chosen path is invalid, please choose another location. You can not install a client where an EVE Online client already exists."

Well, I've been at this all day. Literally. Downloading, attempting to install, deleting, re-downloading...

I'm at a complete loss as to how to get back into this game. I've never had this trouble before with the EVE client. Is it me or is the file(s) corrupted?

Are you still getting this issue?

If you have any part of the client installed you can use the repair tool to fix your client. (you can also get the repair tool from the link, place it in the folder you want to install EVE into and run it as administrator)

I ran the repair tool and and although it said it was successful there was no .exe file anywhere and many of the files were 0kb in size. I ended up manually deleting all the files again and got a good download this afternoon. Everything works now.

Thanks for your reply.
