by ratting I mean Anomalies and DED 4,5,6/10

thanks a lot, I've looked around but most of it it's outdated.

Anyone? Was thinking 4 DDA, Drone link augmentor, Corr probe launcher, 50mn MWD and improved cloaking (for mwd+cloak trick) and to burn away and deploy sentries. The part I'm not sure about is wether to fit passive or active shield or alternatively a blingy armor rep and a DC2.

Please advice, thanks.

What would you, personally, go for?

Suggest a fit, and we'll critique :)

this is what i got so far:

highs:
Core probe launcher/sisters probes
drone link augmentor II
prototype cloaking device II

meds:
50mn cold-gas MWD
Gistum C-type MSB
Gist C-type SBA
EM ward field II

Lows:
4x DDA
DC2
Co-Processor II

Rigs:
2x anti EM screen Reinforcer II

78% EM - 65% Thermal
if I fit a 10mn AB it's cap stable.

5x Curator II
5x Curator II
5x Infiltrator II
5x Hobgoblin II
2x Salvage Drone
4x Vespa EC-600

Looks good; I might personally replace the SBA with either an active EM hardener but, more likely, with an omnidirectional link.

I'm not the biggest drone user, so I'm others have more efficient setup suggestions :)

From my experience w/ Null sec anoms, if you can keep your speed at about 450 m/s or faster, you'll be semi-invulnerable... I would go w/ the Afterburner, drop the SBA and add another hardner or maybe a target painter. Also.. 4 DDAs seems a bit over the top. get rid of one of those, then you could probably lose the CPU II, thats 2 more low slots for the drone tracking computers in the lows, or perhaps nano/Over drives for speed.

thanks for the advice gents, much appreciated.

the MWD is more like for navigating low sec (which is where i live) MWD+Cloak trick has saved me from many gatecamps, and I think that if you are using sentries that's what you want anyway so that you can burn away faster and position yourself for deploying. also, I hate BR neuts, so the farther i can stay from them the better, also, while running anomalies i want to stay away from beacon in case a party crasher warps in.

will try the navi computer instead of the SBA as ya'll suggested, thanks again.

I have a feeling that setup is going to die horribly in the 5/10. Everything else should be alright.

Here's a random and somewhat expensive armor fit for comparison:

[Ishtar, BR 456 armor]
Corpum A-Type Medium Armor Repairer
Corpum A-Type Energized EM Membrane
Corpum A-Type Energized Thermal Membrane
Corpum C-Type Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
Imperial Navy Drone Damage Amplifier
Imperial Navy Drone Damage Amplifier

Drone Navigation Computer II
Drone Navigation Computer II
50MN Quad LiF Restrained Microwarpdrive
Large Capacitor Battery II

Sisters Core Probe Launcher, Core Scanner Probe I
Improved Cloaking Device II
[empty high slot]
[empty high slot]

Medium Nanobot Accelerator II
Medium Anti-EM Pump II

Praetor II x5
Curator II x5
Vespa II x5
Acolyte II x5

Obviously you've lost two DDAs, which hurts. Wedges on an improved cloak (which certainly helps on both scan res and speed penalty). If you drop that back to a prototype some of the faction becomes unnecessary. The build is more oriented towards heavies, obviously, and delivers damage decently on that front.

Oh, and it has three times the cold tank.

I honestly wouldn't use something that expensive but I thought I'd throw it out as an example of another way of thinking about how to use the Ishtar.

thanks for your imput, what would you change to make it work as an active shield tank fit?
