New Player issue : Trial to Subscription Gone Wrong!

Hi.

I am posting this on behalf of a new player 'Fluff Bottom' who asked support from the Eve online help channel, and has a pending petition request.

It seems he has paid for a 1 month sub from Amazon yet his account is still considered as 'trial'. Fluff Bottom has also filed a petition which is still pending for reply. For the benefit of Eve online, I am hoping an ISD, GM, or other Hierarchy can look into the matter asap.

The following are 'Fluff Bottom' explanation:


''Subject: SUPPORT REQUEST #114647 not responded to.
i ordered and recieved confirmation of a 1 month subscription from Amazon.com Ordered on January 28, 2016. It is still showing as trial account. have tried injecting paid only skills and they will not inject. have tried clearing cache in game. launcher closed and re-opened multiple times. only 4 days left on my trail time.

is there any other way to get this resolved before my trial account runs out?''

I had the impression subbing though Amazon is not instant and can take some time to get into the EVE system.

IDK anything about amazon but if this is true then I would imagine he could just add a month on his account page if he is that desperate. When the Amazon one come in then he'll have two months paid that's all.

Unfortunately, this is not an issue that prevents him from playing the game, so it might take a few days for an answer. Account problems get lower priority than many other issues. Let him know that this is not an issue that elicits a rapid response, so he should just play and enjoy as much as he can, and not sit around holding his breath for a response.

CCP will respond though. The customer service is very good in my experience. One just has to remember that all petitions are prioritized and some don't rise to the top. I had to wait 4 days for a reim response, but whenever I have a quest break, or I got stuck one time, I think 10 minutes was my longest.

This is true.

It can take a few days for Amazon to process, other times it is almost instant. I think it depends on your payment method as to how quick it is all processed. (ie; Credit card, paypal etc..)

Alright, thank you for your feedbacks. And in the line of getting/keeping more new players in the game, I still hope this type of payment requests be tackled asap.

well, i purchased a starter pack through amazon, and recieved a actual code. that has worked wonderfuly, still unsure if my inital purchase was credited to my account or not, but i have over a month now to sort it out, thanks everyone. especialy Venus Aka for posting this for me. the comunity in this game seems to rock. o7 fly safe all

FYI, many items have info that states the item cannot be used by trial accounts.

This info never changes regardless of the state of the account.

The trial / subscribed / etc. state of the account can be viewed in Account Management.

Example: mine shows

Account Type: Active - Paying with Credit Card
Current Subscription: 12 Month EVE subscription

A. ISD won't be able to help you.
B. Posting on the forums won't make your petition go faster (personally, CCP should put those petitions on hold for 14 days / thread).
C. Posting petition text is illegal and will get you punished.
