Issues with latest launcher and EVE updates ~4K Laptop Win 10

I just purchased a new laptop that has 3840x2860 resolution screen. EVE was working fine on it when I ran it at lower resolution (1920x1440). I just updated it to the latest launcher (which is microsized and I have to use reading magnifiers to see the text of the launcher- it does not auto scale like other applications do in Windows 10!) and now the EVE primary application will not stay on screen. I get a 'not optimized display' warning and it minimizes the EVE character choice screen and I can only make it flash up for a moment before it re-minimizes it.)

It did not do this prior to the upgrades to the launcher and maybe even some minor app upgrades. I have no problems on my desktop PC but it doesn't have this high resolution monitor the laptop does... HELP!

(Tried searching for 4K issues, Win 10 and high resolution, couldn't find an applicable thread so sorry if there is a discussion about the fix for this elsewhere. If so, please redirect me there!)

Well, after no traction on this forum, and after a support ticket also got crickets, finally had to fix it all myself. So here's the solution:

Don't run in 4K on Windows 10. Take it ALL down (meaning windows too) to 1920x1080 and run everything as administrator then it all works.

Looks like CCP isn't really 4K Win 10 ready yet. We'll see if it's all fixed at some future time.

Fly safe!

Sadly the built in scaling function of the UI is rather pointless, it is 100% biased towards that the user would use a single client and run it fullscreen. Not multiple smaller clients on a high res screen, as it, without any obvious reason, removes the scaling functionality when you run it in smaller windows. It cannot be influenced by OS scaling, its completely built in as a graphical function more or less.
