What are the differences in terms of ease / income / loot? Any reason you would pick a system with one or the other all other things being equal?

It's cooler and a little scary facing ships with spikes

If you're purely going for null belt rats, at the end of the day, the rats themselves will pay off about the same.

That said, there are questions you need to ask and answer to yourself. Do you live in null/plan to, or are you dipping in and back out? What ships are you proficient in? How busy is the particular region of space you're looking at?

Angels do mainly explosive and kinetic damage but also a bit of the other 2 types. Sansha is just about pure em/therm, so sansha is easier to tank for.

Angels EWAR is target painting. Can suck if you use a smaller ship, easy to ignore if you use a battleship or carrier. Sansha EWAR is tracking disruption. Sucks if you use guns, totally non-effectual if you use missiles or drones.

The 2 races 10/10 plexes (that you will get as escalations from Havens and Sanctums of both races) are fairly equal, 5 rooms each. The one real difference is that the gate in the 1st room of the Angel Cartel Naval Shipyard is unlocked, so you can MJD to it and enter without killing a single rat. This means the angel 10/10 is safer to do as anyone who tries to come after you will have to fight past 4 web towers and 30 angry angel npcs lol.

Angel loot is slightly better because of the shield loot, but sansha loot is nothing to sneeze at. And Sansha loot is slightly less farmed than angel loot (both sansha and angels are FAR less farmed than Guristas lol).

I prefer angels, but only because I prefer to use a Machariel.

Going for anoms, not belts.

This would be with characters living in the respective null areas. Skills aren't an issue as I have a variety of characters able to do whatever (T3, Ishtar/VNI, carrier, NM, Mach, etc etc). Both areas are reasonably quiet, though not completely so.

Thank you for the informative reply, that clears things up a lot. It sounds like it largely comes down to personal preference of ships to fly rather than a large ISK bias for one or the other. Also, that is a very useful tidbit about the 10/10, I didn't know that.
