Anyone else having trouble opening the comments pages of EVE Survival mission reports? Every time I click Display Comments, I get a new page saying "This page doesn't exist yet", despite it having existed previously.

Happens with IGB, OGB, and through phone/tablet.

Not exactly a big problem, as I know the missions anyway, but I like to read, and it's a handy resource for newer players...

It wasn't too long ago there was a problem with the site, it may have been migrated elsewhere since then and the links to the comments may have broken at that time.

The site was broken under the sheer weight of carebearism.

As Loyd said, there have been problems in the past (and I've found it to be fairly flakey, even at the best of times). Hope it gets resolved soon!

Sometimes when I do a Google search for whatever mission and click on the EVE Survival link, I do some how end up on an archive page that is out of date. Checking the last edited date is very important!

I do recall that the site was down for a while as Mr. Loyd states...but it seems to be fixed now.

It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

"Sheer weight of carebearism". Definitely needs to be a topic in its own right. Missioners broke the webs.

Restricted to registered users only is another option.

That was my tangential thought, too

I'm not really learned up on the subject matter at hand, so forgive me if this sounds like an idiot's question, but is there a way to download the Eve Survival wiki data so you have an offline copy of the site on your hard drive?

I believe I have seen that mentioned before, but I think there are also archived versions of the pages on the webs. Just need to be careful of outdated info, but the basic idea of the missions is usually right. I find chruker is also a good reference as it gives more accurate breakdowns of the damage you will face in missions.

you can go to the comments page, copy the URL, then google the URL. You will have the option to dropdown and select "cached" next to the link.

I used a tool called HTTrack Website Copier to save a local version of it, when they were having serious uptime issues a few years back.

Someone else mentioned the HTTrack program as well. I'll take a shot at it and the "cached" idea. Thanks for the replies, gents.
