[OOJ] She Has Not Left

It’s been nearly six months since Her Majesty left us, and I still can scarcely believe that she’s gone. A piece of my heart was ripped out that day and that emptiness still pains me. Even with the first sight every morning her titan wreck floating out in space, I still have to remind myself that she has ascended into Paradise. I have to remind myself that despite the brutality of her murder, the ultimate victory is God’s. I have to remind myself that it is His Will that guides the universe. I have to remind myself that just because she is gone, she has not left us. Sancta Jamyl has not left me.

In life, I followed Empress Jamyl as my leader and sovereign lady. In death, I have devoted my life to her example as Sancta Jamyl. It brightens my soul to know that I am not alone in this. The Order of Jamyl is flourishing. People from all parts of the Empire, slaves to Holders, merchants to Capsuleers, have joined the Order. As Holy Mother, I have been privileged to induct priests and holders personally into the Order. I have seen converts—converts made by Sancta Jamyl personally—join the Order. Sancta Jamyl has not left us.

In the months since she ascended, every long day, the Empire has proved the steel of our faith and resolve. We have been attacked by Blooders and Drifters and the Navy still fights. Capsuleers loyal to Holy Amarr relentlessly engage and destroy these threats to our faith and our Empire. More than a few have taken to calling upon Sancta Jamyl the patron saint of capsuleers. I cannot think of a more fitting person. She inspires everyone that climbs into the pod. Sancta Jamyl has not left space.

Unlike after Emperor Doriam II’s death, we had a prompt and fair Succession Trials. There was some consternation over the welcoming of Lord Khanid back into the fold of the Empire as an heir. There was even more concern over the naming of some of the champions: the heretic edeity and the hetrodox Lord Singularity. I think that both of those pilots getting soundly defeated in their first match, and then Lord Khanid’s champion being eliminated from the final match proves that Sancta Jamyl is still watching over us from Paradise. Sancta Jamyl has not left Holy Amarr.

I will never forget that awful day at Safizon. I will never forget that horror, but I will also never forget the time she sacrificed herself for Holy Amarr after losing the Trials. I will never forget the day she warped into Sarum Prime armored with righteous fury and saved the Empire from the Minmatar invasion. I will never forget the time I flew with her. I will never forget how she inspired me. Though I may leave Safizon for a time, I will always return home, for I will never leave Sancta Jamyl.

Sancta Jamyl,
I do not fear the dark heavens, for you ensure God’s Light shines upon me
The very stars heralded your coming and going, and I will watch for the third
I carry the Light forth, as you did, for God Almighty, to all the dark places
A Light made brighter by your example
To all the wayward people and worlds
For Holy Amarr
For the Destiny of Faith, given to us by God Almighty
Sancta Jamyl, daughter of God, help me to stand firm against the darkness
so that the light of my faith
shine bright before the Almighty God, for His Glory.
By His Light, By His Will.

Sancta Jamyl, you will never be forgotten.

Has it been so long already? Tis hard to believe.

Bless you, Holy Mother, for such fine words. Her Majesty looks down upon us from Paradise and knows that she is loved.

Time passes quickly... Yet the pain lingers. Even so, as you say... She is with us. The Divine knows our hearts and meets our needs.

Thank you, Holy Mother, for your wisdom and guidance during such a tumultuous time for the Empire.

By His Light, By His Will.

Thank you for your service Holy Mother. I'm proud to follow your leadership and the Empress's example.

You are right that she has not left us. I try to think of what she would do anytime I have to make difficult decisions myself. I look to her examples from her reign and feel her presence when I make my choices. Thank you for reminding all of us that while she has ascended to Paradise she is still with us, she still guides and leads us.

By His Light, by His Will.

"Senseless war with Drifters"
Blind faith "retaliation" controls you.
She herself wanted to of this death. "Sin and not the will of God"
If it was the will of God
Then...
Drifters is a weapon of the god ? So why you are God's children are fighting with weapons of God ?

It's normal Amarrian hypocracy at its finest, though I don't think something dedicated to remembrance is a good place to criticize honestly. It's kinda in bad taste...

What do you give?
What do they brought with them?
Freedom from evil? Saving the world from the dictator?
Why fight against those who saved us all?

Speech in time to her coronation.
They saved her that she must give a in return?

1) Normally I shoot her supporters
2) Obviously nothing good for your empress
3) Alot of your religion is evil, so yes.
4) Yes
5) because many of them wish to imprison and watch us suffer

I still find it in Ill taste to question the merits of someone many of your people hold in high regard in something for the remembrance of her. Believe me, she isn't someone I like, but respect and liking aren't the same.

The only things I really disagree with in the Amarr doctrine is the notion of racial purity and the need to save other races by enslaving them and then indoctrinate them via generations of slavery.

Unfortunately, these two points are not in any way trivial and the resultant quibble regarding these matters are also not trivial.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

My last question to Alizebeth Amalath.

She would like this war ?

She could stop the this war ?

To the Order of Jamyl

We remember that shocking moment of her disembodiement, which left a mark even besides any considerations of faith or politics. May the mourners finally overcome the grief in a most positive way. So that strength and good will prevails on behalf of the Amarr people.

Haritimado-haani, thank you for your kind words. In these trying times, I pray that the Empire does not forget our friendship with the Caldari people.

You miserable little heretic. It's not that I doubt Her Majesty is in Paradise. It's that I wish I was there with her.

She is hardly in any sort of paradise. She failed, her navy failed, and the enemy simply slid back into the night with minimal losses. Her titan wreak is little more of an example of how not to lead a state.

She also wasn't the first leader to ever be assassinated. At the same time it was pretty obvious that sooner or later it would happen. They were scanning those jovian observatories which had information from way back for some reason after all. For all we know they could be reading this very thread some how. "Hmm, I have a target on my back, why not publically announce I'm going dancing on a firing range!" As an enemy I will say I'm sorry for her passing, it was a shock for me as well as many others I'm sure. I would expect less idiocy from the Empress of the Amarr Empire in the name of a meaningless moral boost however.

I have stated publicly in more than a few sermons that I believe Sancta Jamyl knew that her time with us was coming to an end with Caroline's Star.

I'm sorry Holy Mother for the keenness of the loss you surely feel but in trying times like these we need a devoted disciple of the former Empress like yourself to guide us and remind us of her legacy.

What fills the soul? Something that guides a lost child back to it's parents arms. Or waves that dye the shores of the heart gold. A blessed breath to nurture life in a land of wheat. Or the path the Sef descend drawn in ash. In the wake of fire.

Respectfully, from what I know of her last few days (public things atleast) it seems she did and rather bravely faced it, however bravery and stupidity are two completely different things. I'm not calling her stupid, PLEASE don't take what I'm saying that way, but if she knew her time was near and still decided to test her faith so to speak, that's bordering between bravery and stupidity. I think following through to continue on her "the time of slavery is nearing its end" rhetoric would be more beneficial to your people than dieing meaninglessly as a martyr. Maybe I'm being a little rash in what I'm saying, its really not my intention.
