launcher not working after instalation

hello, today i downloaded the new launcher after deleting the old one and when i try to open it it just goes instantly white and a windows error message appears saying that evelauncher stopped working and that it is trying to find a fix.
sorry for not giving a lot of info but this is all i know.
i even tried downloading it trough steam and the result was the same

please help. i cant even log in to eve.

Ive had the same issue for about a week now, I can log in using the old launcher.

Old launcher path: "C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE\eve.exe"

Ive tried uninstalling and re-installing, including installing from an old version I have saved (EveLauncher-968307) but it auto updates and restarts and I get the same issue.

This newest version (updated on 28th) is even worse. With my old drivers it would start, crash the driver and then hang. With the latest drivers it at least starts and I can use it for a few minutes before it hangs.

That helped. It's not hanging any more (at least during the few hours I've tried having it run). Thanks a lot. Still not sure why the older drivers reacted so badly.

Setting the QT_OPENGL windows environment variable to "software" worked for me.

You can also add it via your Registry Editor:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER => Environment => QT_OPENGL
