Again, highly doubtful. Although one can hope that DUST 515 (if it ever exists) will be a PC game....

In the meantime, PS3 -> PC Emulators are a *thing* if you absolutely must play DUST on a PC. Dunno how well or otherwise it works, however.

I think that CCP are trying to position themselves as one of the premier VR games studios. This is A Good Thing(tm) to aim for. Personally, I'm not an early adopter, so I'm happy to wait another 12 months or so for the RIFT II VR headset and the GruntMaster 9000 PC to power it.

But what you are totally overlooking: Dust and Valkyrie (and Gunjack) are not tailored for the average EVE player, but each is for a different kind of gamer.

That is the "hidden plan". To diversify, to bring more people to play in the EVE universe, to dominate the gaming world (at this rate in like 100.000 years or so ..)



Dust on ps3 was a miscalculation, but not in the way you think. It was suppose to come out 18 months before it did. It was going to be bundled with the ps3 slim. This is about 6 months to a yera before the ps4 was due out. for some reason they missed this target date and dust was released too late.

I personally think that ccp also had issues in the beginning with doing cretin things with dust that they wanted. And it was not making as much money as they hoped. Hence the rouge Wedding. After the initial blow back however, and the tweeks they made to dust, it became better and profitable. So i personally believe legion is coming and ccp are trying not to kill a small cash cow before its necessary to do so.

I.E. get Valk out the door, which they don;t want bad press for (will be out in early access before fan fest.) then announce Legion. I still hope something will be said at FF16 but not holding my breath.

To note:

Valkyrie is a release title for the Oculus Rift. There has been _nothing_ said about any other PC VR headset.

Valkyrie is also being release on the PS4, when their headset comes out.

Valkyrie is a VR game.
Several features would be impossible (or at least incredibly clunky) without the capabilities of VR (eg: "look to lock").

So yeah, Occulus Rift or Project Morpheus.
