How are you most likely to use the SP reallocation mechanics?

Personally I'm much more likely to use this feature to reallocate wasted SP from my old toons, skills that I trained through lack of experience and knowledge of the game, and transfer it to my much lower skilled toons to maximise it's usefulness.

The only other option really is to cash in on your wasted SP. So; what are you gonna do?

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

After consolidating accounts I ended up with 2 Exhumer pilots on the same account ~2 million wasted SP that can be converted into 1.6 million useful SP if the price is right. That's basically the same SP I can get with a month of multiple character training and I am not willing to pay a premium for instant gratification. So, I am watching with interest but will will decide whether or not to participate when CCP publishes the price for the injectors.

I've heard, and I plan as well (depending how much this stuff costs either in $ or isk), that many pvp oriented pilots are planning to turn this into a way to get some quick isk making skills. Consider a 20mill SP PVP pilot would be able to use a single injector and be able to grab T2 gas harvesters and put the rest of the points in planetary interaction, or in pvp skills. You can grab some of the stuff you feel bad about making your character train, even though it may really improve your overall experience (t2 gas harvesters could take up to a week if not mapped for Mem/Int, what pvp pilot wants to do that? Unless they have all the pvp skills they could want already.)

I have two low-skill alts that are not worth selling, and that I really don't need.

I'm going to suck all those useless mining and reprocessing skills out of my head and put them somewhere useful.

Depends largely on price. If injectors are within acceptable (to me) price range I'm planning on injecting quite a few to finish up some longer skill trains so I will be ready to move to a ships focused remap when mine becomes available next month.

If I feel its well overpriced...we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

What do you all think a "acceptable" price is?

I'm going to start flying T3s more and use them to instantly re-train level 5 subsystems when I explode

250 to 350m range. Though that will largely depend on what Aurum price CCP sets for the extractors. If those are overpriced (again, in my estimation) then I won't be using this feature in all probility.

I honesty believe we are going to be talking the same Isk as it is for a Plex....But that's just what i think.....

Thanks for your Reply tho...

What would be the point of it to get at best 500k SP for a PLEX if you can just train for 1-1.5m SP for the same RL $$.

I'm also in two minds of the following situation: moving SP around on the same character who is well above the 80 million SP threshold. There's two ways to think of it. I'm losing a **** load of SP by doing so, or, it's dead SP where it is currently sat anyway. Am I better using the injectors tweaking bit by bit my mains or pumping my tiny toons to the eyeballs?

A judgement call only I can make in my individual cases I guess.

Much the same for me too, Sp insurance against any T3 losses my stable incurs, other than that I doubt I will inject much elsewhere as my alts are all basically where they need to be and would not really benefit due to the diminishing returns on moderately skilled chars.

Well the Price is up on CCP Twitter

Better than i thought....

Number of Skill Extractors

1 = 900 aum
5 = 4499 aum
10 = 7999 aum

Cool

Personally I'm never going to use sp extractors to shuffle skill points around..
It's a waste of money and skill points.

They should have implemented sp remapping , available like once a year..

I totally disagree, so much I think the opposite of what you said is true. Skills you don't use on a toon are wasted by them remaining on that toon.

I did this weekend what I planned to do when they first announced this whole thing.

Extracted 34.5 million SPs out of my old main and brought him down to exactly 5,500,001 SPs and then bio-massed it. Took 65 or so Skill Injectors and focused he hell out of this character. Left with 5 Skill Injectors to use another time.

Total cost was 19.5 billion ISK or so.

I do have another character that I could probably extract another 10-15 million SPs from but I don't need them right now so I'll wait.

Just reading what you described, I kind of see that as a "name change."
