OK so I read this as an "I do not want to pay for my subscription" post so no idea why everyones talking about Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Paypal.

I could be wrong of course.

I think the only feasible way of doing it as a newbro which doesnt require major skills or startup ISK and still provide enough ISK per month to actually buy a plex is null sec exploration.

Theres a good blog about it somewhere. Someone will need to link it though.

To pay for an account using ISK your going to need several months of training to get the skills required to make the isk. Then you will have to invest in the materials you need to make such isk such as a ship would probably be a good idea. Then your going to have to either grind until your eyes fall out or your going to have to go to high risk areas and hope you dont get blown up.

It is not profitable to attempt to play for free. You wont enjoy the game and if you fall short one month you are done. Instead plex should be used for the other services and as a backup in case you run into trouble later and need to pay for a month with isk for whatever reason. However you could get even the lowest paying job in any modern country and pay for anywhere from 2-6 months on a days wages depending on where you live. Also bang for buck wise... plexes are more expensive than a sub.

When i was...poor, i would use change to pay for eve. I would save all my change for the month and that was my eve allowance, Usually about $20-$30 a month.

Real life pro tip: The 1970s called and want their checkbook back. You live in an age of plastic and electronic debt payments. And they make life much easier. For example i spend 0 amount of hours per month paying bills. If i had to do it the old school way it would be a 4 hour job in the very least. Another 10 years and there wont be many places that take checks or cash. They are both a liability. Checks you run the risk of it bouncing and cash you run the risk of theft and counterfit.

oh dude, trust me they (we) get it, they're joking.

@op, if you try to earn isk to PLEX this early on in year EvE career then you'll hate this game more than anything.

if you can't pay $15/month then you have bigger problems and better attend that first instead of playing video games. if you have money but just hate paying then this game is not for you.

good luck. o7

The easiest way is to scam it. You can do it with a day old toon, that never leaves jita.

I don't play, I just fourm warrior.

There are any number of legitimate reason to not have a credit card:
- you are underaged
- you are bankrupt
- religious (though oddly the Amish do use Credit Cards)
- truly awful credit ratings
- you are hiding from the law using a fake identity

.. to name a few.

Fortunately it is not essential to have a credit card and Paypal by direct deposit will work.

If the issue is no money - well earning a PLEX a month is relatively easy once you have a character with 10 or 20 mill SP but only station trading or scamming will do it with a new character.

Another reason you don't have a CC:

- You are not a stupid American that pays every single things on credit.

I pay for stuff, with money I have, not money I might have in the future if I'm lucky.

Subbing is like $10 per month OP. It really isn't that much.
Buying PLEX is really not a goal you want to set early on, or you will start playing Eve like it's a job.

Because only Americans use credit and are stupid. Grow up a little.

Another way to earn a plex is to make friends. Ones that actually do group activities will help, Like wormholes. Scouts get paid very nicely to watch a shimmering hole go all blinky (or not).
Find a mission hub, Ask if anyone plans on salvaging the loot, Get a noctis and go ham on the salvage.
All you need to do is make the right friends and plex will fly at you.

So far in traveling a fair bit of countries, yeah. it is true.

I hardly see European citizens that have multiple CC's and buy everything from cars to groceries with a CC.

And most europeans also know that there are other countries in the world outside their own, and where they are etc.

While I have found both stupid and smart people in every country that I've gone to and I also understand that an intelligent, well educated, free thinking populous is a threat to any control structure. However as a person born and raised in the USA I must comment that I don't think any country on the planet has done as good of a job of dumbing down it's populous as the USA.

That being said I fail to see how ridiculing a populous that can, most likely, be generally categorized as mentally challenged is helpful.

The funny thing is....

It NEVER stated that ALL Americans are stupid.

Reading is hard for some, so made it more clear.

Why I picked Americans, because the entire world knows that in the US it is very very common to have multiple CCs and just buy things on credit as you go...
Hell, it's how the whole financial crisis started in the first place.

Clarification is needed from the OP as to whether they are willing to pay for the game via a method that isn't a credit card, or not.

My advice: if you are not planning to pay at least while starting out, EVE will be a miserable experience.

If you are willing to pay, but not via credit card, then that is a different question I can't answer.

I don't like closing threads in the New Citizens Q&A, but this one has run way off course. There is good advise throughout, but a lot of off-topic nonsense as well.
