Greetings Pilots,

I did one of these a few years ago, but it is now out of date and irrelavent. So here is a new one.

This guide covers the specific business model of Jita to remote hub reselling. and is aimed at the new traders out there. I hope some of you find it usefull and are able to use it to increase your skill, understanding and Isk :)

I don´t think it´s a great idea to keep it as .htm. Because of the load of scum which produce malware. Probably you think about some other format?

As you guess iI did not opened it but want to than you for your effort.

Hmm it has a few tables in it, hence the html format, i could upload the original word doc, but arent they more prone to virrii ?
i will try an RTF see if that works.

go .pdf. I was even able to right click your file and convert - nothin to it. Even keeps any links and such......would probably need a couple fixes here and there but didn't get much time to look through it all yet. Depends which version of Acrobat you run. Will even send this converted file to you if you like.

edit: looks like you posted a few minutes before lol, good times.

As someone new to trading (in comparison to the people round here) I found it an extremely interesting and probably useful guide, well done! =). Although I already have my own niche, to anyone else looking to try their hand at trading definitely give this a shot and see if it's for you.

In the section that you talk about what ships to use to haul items from Jita to the selling location, I agree that T1 industrial ships are made of Papier-mâché and should never be used to haul with. You also mention using a drake or, if you can't fly a drake, a cruiser. Below is a Exequror fit that I have used in the past when I needed a small-ish hauler.

[Exequror, Hauler]
Expanded Cargohold II
Expanded Cargohold II
Expanded Cargohold II

Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
Magnetic Scattering Amplifier II
Heat Dissipation Amplifier II

Small Tractor Beam I*
Small Tractor Beam I*
Salvager I*
[empty high slot]

Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Cargohold Optimization I
Medium Cargohold Optimization I

This fit results in:
- about 16,000-ish eHP (14,000 to 19000 depending on which damage type someone tries to do to you)
- passive buffer tank that does not need activating
- 2800 m3 of cargo space (which is more than double the space you get in a cargo-rigged Drake with Expanded Cargohold)

*Note: Tractor beams and/or salvager are optional. Gives you the ability to grab blue wrecks you see at gate while you are travelling, but I would only recommend doing so when your cargohold is empty (not when it is full of valuable merchandise)

Well done :)

This guide will make the competition much more intensive in 0.0 hubs

The pirates are as happy as new traders imo P

I have had a lot of positive replies and mails regarding this thread,

unfortunatly, i have also had a lot of people saying they have read the guide but then ask " but how do i turn x into xxx etc.

kinda dissapointed that people seem reluctant to just get out there , and put some time into it. a wise man once told me, "you can make isk in eve doing anything, you just need to be consistant and persisting"

on a more positive note,

i may write up another guide in the next few days, maybe something along the lines of major patch speculation, or 0.0 2 way trading. anyone got any requests?

A 0.0 2-way trading guide would be very much appreciated, or some type of station trading guide. I mean, I know the concept of how to station trade, but am not completely sure what to look for to make sure I am picking good items to buy low with buy orders, and sell high with sell orders.

Question with regards to haulers - Is it safe to autopilot billions of stuff inside the corp hangar of an orca? I assume suicide ganks can't take down an orca by the time concord blasts them in high sec...

I know people that do this, and have never had a problem, usually billions in WH space loot. But i have also heard of orcas being ganked in high sec just on speculation. although it does not happen very often.

The larger risk from doing what you mentioned is the insider. if you are going to do it, tell no one.

Do not fly with autopilot. Full stop.

Unless you don't care about the package you are hauling. Most of the time, the ganks are because the autopilot finishes and the ship sits there waiting to be killed lol.

Don't carry more than 1B worth, groups of BS can take you down for that cargo

Some excellent advice from the op, glad I have moved on from this type of trading as the opposition is about to get a little heavier.

not going to add a comment on the 144 list ;-)

That's the trading method that got me started. It's still a large part of my operation. Good guide.

Just a note on hauling, use a courier contract. I set collateral at 120% of the cost of the goods I'm shipping then pay 1% of that as a reward. I've had great success dropping the reward to .5% of collateral but ended up settling on 1%. I make plenty and never have to worry about a contract not being picked up. I do get a failed contract every now and then but I'm insured via collateral. Sucks for the hauler I'm sure.

A 0.0 2 two way trading guide would be great :) your guide helped me get into the trading game, and i'd personally love to get into jumping a bit further out to get more profits.
