Intercept the Saboteurs blitz

The blitz recommendation for Intercept the Saboteurs 3 is to kill "group 4" and the can drops.

The problem with this is that all the groups aggro and once the fight begins it is hard to tell one group from another.

What is the strategy here? Write down the name of every ship in group 4? Only problem there is that there ships of the same type in each group.

Seems like more effort than its worth to blitz it, and also it's a faction mission so will hurt your standings as well. If your blitzing, you can probably skip that one.

One way would be to tag the group as you engage them. Or perhaps broadcast that group as target (holding hotkey and clicking) and then targeting through fleet broadcast history.

Similar to cosmic signatures, you can ignore ships and such in the Overview window by right clicking them.

The EVE University Overview Guide is an excellent resource to learn how to customize the Overview for your style and preferences.

It sounds plausible enough tonight, but wait until tomorrow. Wait for the common sense of the morning.

No, it is not just a faction mission. It can be a faction mission, it can be against pirates as well.

pirates are factions too :p

in highsec I've only ever seen it against pirates

Usually when there is a goal to kill a specific group with ~10 locked targets you can typically lock them all up. Or just form a fleet and label them all

God, don't know why I wrote that, I've run that mission loads of times and never against empires! Bad day at the office. Not that I have to work in an office any more...

Bolded for posterity. Make a fleet, regardless if you are missioning with alts or other people. Make sure the "Tag" column is displayed on your overview. When you warp into a mission where you only have to kill a specific group, put tags on them by right clicking on them and selecting a number or letter. Now all you "priority" targets are marked, and you won't get confused on what you have to shoot.

Semi-related, you can now control right-click in space to drag and select a group of targets. This makes it substantially easier to lock the blitz groups (provided you have the target capacity).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
