goons and the not so hidden crucible survey

Yet again we see goons going out and crying about the fact they know how to whine about eve and get what they want from ccp,
time and time again they hit a brick wall and head off and start to cry about it, unable to face the fact you have to work at somethings in eve to get to that ship that takes some of the players years to obtain and with ccp giving in at every point they have to cry about, below is the last ping from them and you can see what is about to happen.

(4:20:54 PM) directorbot: I am doing the work of CCP in this broadcast. They suck at asking your opinion because they are not used to listening. So they buried a survey in their news letter and put a tiny splash screen on a single page. So go take their survey and tell them what you think of their game. http://crucible.questionpro.com/

ccp will allow them to cry and will change the game to suit them, if they don't then we will have mittans start to trash forums and other site to complain about the game and force ccp to make the changes, but as show over and over again their is always something else that they are unable to match and its a never ending loop.

goons started out with the statement that they wanted to destroy the game followed with the statement that they only wanted to destroy your game, from the gallente ice attacks and many other attacks on the player base in eve over the years, ether you stand up against goons and say no to the blob or stand back and allow them to destroy your game.

Wait, i don't get it... Are you saying a goon vote shouldn't count?

It's perfectly acceptable for them to tell their members to vote. And they are right, CCP are doing a bad job of letting people know about this stuff.

The wishlist is pretty much complete...

I think that there was actually very little bias in that broadcast. What bias I did present was my own. For instance, I've been playing for over six years and am never getting in a titan or super capital if I can help it. I think that their game play is dumb, boring, and the worst parts of eve. It encourages non-engagement at best.

So I did a broadcast asking for goons feedback. I just think that CCP is doing a poor job asking for player feedback in this instance. They did do a single banner ad asking, but those are easy to skip past. They also put it in the side bar of the news letter, but it was easy to miss there. So do a news post.

As for what goons think? I will let them say. I think the fact that we have had a very successful newbie drive, just had a successful campaign in branch (sov map animation: http://i.imgur.com/YIzUl.gif ), and our turn out has been amazing for our fights imply that they actually liked it. Personally, I look forward to updating this picture of eve releases as well: http://i.imgur.com/uJs4t.jpg Maybe CCP can make it easier and better for newbies to play, and we might have a real game on our hands.

It's too bad you use an alt to post though. If you're going to present an opinion, do it in public as yourself. Or you can anonymously complain about the damn goonies ruining your sandbox by playing in it and no one will take you seriously.

First it was BOB, then it was NC, then DRF and finally Goons. Tomorrow it will be some other alliance that excels at this game and then another after them.

I flit around several (empire) regions but never see the Goonies in-game. I reckon the whole Goon thing is over-rated.

mOo were much more omnipresent filibusters in their day.

I'm not sure how a survey that is open to everyone is a tool for Goon propaganda.

If they get organized and voice their opinion and you don't, whose fault is that?

Why has the OP got such a beef against Goons? He must believe all the forum propaganda. Really, when you're playing the game, they have very little impact. They don't have the power to "destroy" Eve and they never will.

Rifters Online instead of Supercaps Online?

Now I'm conflicted. I sort of agree with that, but I don't agree with their aggressive expansionism, bullying, griefing methods, and their elitism.
Maybe it's that I never grew out of teenage rebellion. Maybe it's that I get pushed around by a corporation at work, pushed around by society out of work, and don't want to be pushed around in space.
Maybe I just agree with their aims, but not their methods.

Either way, they have a ******* point. Too much stratified supercap-owning **** going on, too many nullsec bots, too much politics.

Yes, perhaps we could just reorganize the whole game into a GOON RED VS. BLUE. Obviously, the Goons are the only ones equipped to organize these things properly under the existing game mechanics. I agree this would be a major improvement.
